I went to the customer's home to service a Carrier 14 SEER 2 Ton Heat Pump. I put a supply vent on other side of wall relative to the furnace box on Carrier electric furnace in downflow application and pushed out about a half inch from wall due to installer pushing box further against wall. I ran the system and it is operational at this time.
I completed the spring tune up on a Janitrol air conditioner. I visually inspected the furnace. Checked voltage and amps. I inspected the evaporator coil. I checked the temperature difference across the coil. Checked refrigerant charge, voltages and amps. I rinsed the condenser coils with water. Cycled and monitored the system. Operating normally at this time.
I completed a diagnostic on a Bryant AC unit. I found the unit had a very low superheat and very high subcool. I removed 3 pounds of coolant to get to the desired reading. I monitored the unit and there were no further issues. I informed the customer with it being an older unit, it may take more time to cool down. The system is operational at this time.
I replaced an OEM condenser fan motor (single speed) and capacitor for customer.
I installed a Five Star 96% 80,000 BTU gas furnace 4T 17". Price includes new furnace, thermostat, venting, electrical, gas piping, and duct adjustment. Also included is removal of old equipment, tax and installation.
Upon arrival customer advised that condenser was not running. I sent a call for cool and found compressor running but fan motor seized. Tested capacitor and it was within spec. Gave customer estimate for new fan motor which customer approved. Pulled disconnect prior to departure.
I installed a Carrier 14 Seer 2 ton heat pump, a Five Star multi-speed 2 ton electric furnace/"slope" coil, Honeywell T10 programmable thermostat. Price includes condenser, A-Coil, line set or flush, and pad. Also included is an outdoor disconnect, removal of old equipment, tax and installation.
Upon inspection, I found the refrigerant was low. I informed the customer and they approved adding the needed refrigerant. I cycled the system to ensure functionality. System is operational upon departure.
I replaced the piston in the A/C unit and cycled the unit to ensure everything was functioning properly. System is operational upon departure.
I added Easy Seal to the system to prevent any more leaks for the customer. I checked the refrigerant levels to ensure no more had leaked out since I was last here. System checks out and is operational upon departure.
Upon inspection, I found the system was low on refrigerant. I informed the customer and they approved adding the needed refrigerant. I cycled the system and everything checked out within specs. System is operational upon departure.
I installed a Five Star "Infinity Series" 80% 2 Stage Variable Speed 90,000 BTU Gas Furnace and a Five Star "Infinity Series" 19 SEER Variable-Speed 3 Ton Air Conditioner. System is set and customer is ready for the cooling season.
I performed a tune up on a Nordyne A/C unit. Everything checked out within specs. System is operational upon departure.
