Installed vent covers on downstairs registers per homeowner. Replaced thermostat and heat pump is operational. Second stage heat, emergency heat, is set on a 15 minute delay in thermostat. Properly installed connector on whip for heat pump at disconnect to secure as required. Noticeable lack of air flow in laundry room and downstairs bathroom. High flow grilles installed has helped air circulation. Heat was turned on to 80 degrees with outdoor temperature of 57 degrees. Temperature heated up in home to satisfy thermostat. To determine issue with duct work, we will need to bring camera system to scope duct system. To fix any duct issue will require removal of a portion of the downstairs ceiling, possible plenum repairs, and unknown duct repairs. Repair of duct system is not economical feasible for affected rooms, and temperature swing can be mitigated by adjusting ducts in downstairs area of home.
