We had our A/C maintenance this morning performed by Craig M. We've had an issue with 2 stage cooling. Craig figured out the problem and corrected it. Everything checked out and working great. Craig did an excellent job!!! Very professional and personable..

Came out for cooling maintenance for two systems. Both systems are cooling inefficiently with no issues accidentally charged customer an additional 95 cents
Dirty condenser coil found upon inspection gave estimate to clean to homeowners to improve efficiency for summer temps.
Flex line not completely tightened up. Use channel locks to tighten and system is not leaking gas anymore.

Completed with ac 1 on a 2014 trane gas horizontal in attic 4 ton. Unit cooling properly at this time of check up. Compresor start up amps are a bit high. Recommended adding a compressor saver and doing duct cleaning level 1 for better air quality. Customer will wait
Dispatched for a water through the secondary pipe. Installed quick blast and was unable to clear the drain line. I made four cuts in the line. One to install the quick blast and three to verify the drain line before it goes into the wall was not clogged. I advised Dimitri that the mirror needs to be removed by a contractor and the line needs to be cleaned out from that point. Line is still clogged today. It is dumping into a secondary pan that is severely rusted. I am leaving an estimate for a drain pan. Drain isolator
Completed with ac 2 on 2017 and 2016 trane gas horizontal in attic both 4 tons. Both units cooling properly at this time of check up.
AC performance tuneup times one system. Larry changes his own filters. Inspect blower, evaporator and ductwork. Drains seem to be flowing at this time. Check outdoor unit. Refrigerant level good at this time. Test capacitor and contactor. Washed condenser coil system is 16 years old so I am leaving an estimate for a new complete as well today.
Upon inspection found no issues at this time of inspection noticed subcool reading to be a bit off but nothing major split was accurate and balanced.
Completed with ac 1 on a 2020 trane condenser 4 ton and 2013 coil and horizontal furnace in attic. Unit cooling at this time of check up. Did noticed a bit of ice on suction line after coil but refrigerant levels were good. Gave customer the option to upgrade evaporator coil and furnace. Customer will wait for now.
Customer called in after our service and requested service today. Arrived to find thermostat blank. Went to attic and verified. It was not the in-line float switch. I jumper to Y and made air conditioner. Come on manually. Went to thermostat and popped it off the subbase and verified 24 V was present. Thermostat back on and system came on. Unsure at this time if that was the original thermostat with the home owner. No charge today.
AC performance tuneup times two systems. Filters were good on arrival. Inspect blowers, evaporators in ductwork. Downstairs evaporator coil has a small fracture in it. I added 1 pound of our 410 today. I advise that they do not get any better. they only get worse. I am leaving an estimate for a replacement coil out of warranty. And also leaving estimates for, complete system replacement. Replaced run capacitor on condenser. Washed condenser coils. Advised Lawrence that the system has lost more than 15% of the charge next year than we will need to change out the evaporator coil at a bare minimum. System is 11 years old.
