Service technician arrived quickly after a call and quickly diagnosed the problem. A quote to fix the problem was offered as well as quotes for alternate solutions. The quote to replace the faulty component was excessively high and the next 30 minutes were spent trying to push me to the system replacement options. The replacement options were proposed without even determining the actual existing system configuration.

Came out for cooling maintenance. Found system low on refrigerant. Told customer we need to come back and add refrigerant on a warmer day.
Completed with ac 1 on a 2017 trane xv18 5 ton 96% upflow gas furnace in closet under only. Unit cooling properly at this time of check . Replaced 20x25x4 air filter for customer.
AC performance tuneup times two systems. Changed out filters client supplied. Inspect blowers, evaporators and ductwork. Check thermostats for proper operations. Check outdoor units. Refrigerant level is good in both systems. Cleaned inside and outside of both units. Systems are operating at manufacturer specs at this time.
Completed with ac 2 on 2010 master bedroom 2 ton and 2010 trane condenser 4 ton with 2013 evaporator coil. Both gas horizontal in attic. Found 2 ton evaporator coil very rusted with condenser fan motor showing wear and capacitor very rusted. 4 ton kitchen unit compressor start up amps very high with rusted evaporator coil and pitted contactor. Giving the option to do all preventative repairs, minimum repairs or complete units upgrade. Customer requested for pricing to replace both units. Customer needs to talk to husband before making any decision.
Came out for cooling maintenance. System was low on refrigerant added two pounds 410A. System is cooling efficiently at the moment next season will check if system is low and give replacement options
Cleaning and checked pressures upon inspection found no issues at this time of inspection recommended cleaning condenser to improve efficiency.
Came out for maintenance for two systems. Both systems are performing optimally
Came out for no cool. Found water in drain pan and tripping float switch on pan. Drain pan is sitting on the ground and is unleveled. We need to come back Monday with a smaller guy it's pretty tight. I adjusted the float switch so customer can get cool air but float switch will trio if there is additional water.
Top off charge upon inspection found main floor unit delta split not accurate replaced filters and addressed charge adding 12ozs 410a to balance split.
Upon inspection found no issues at this time but superheat was a bit high during testing but evened when filter was replaced.
Came out for cooling maintenance. System was slightly low in refrigerant topped it off with less than a pound of refrigerant.
Completed with no cool on a 2006 trane 2 Stage r22 gas horizontal in attic 5 ton. Found bad ecm blower motor . Due to age and very expensive repairs gave customer the option to replace furnace or complete upgrade but also the option to repair it. Customer want to hold on for now and will be giving us a call once he makes a decision on repairing it or replacing furnace.
Completed with ac 4 on 2019 trane gas horizontal in attic. All units cooling properly at this time of check up. Found weak dual run capacitor on front up unit. Gave the option to replace it. Customer approved replacing capacitor.
Efficiency Maintenance upon inspection found liquid line with a bad Schrader valve, dirty condenser coil, and slight under charge for proper efficiency....Repaired leak, cleaned condenser and restored factory charge with 10 ozs of 410a.
