Arrived no cool, found unit tripped on kow pressure switch, reset board and got unit running, pressure on hi side was good but high subcooling, 50 psi low side with high superheat, indicative of a restriction in txv, going to replace, installed in May
Customer called and said that their unit was blowing hot air. I came to the condenser and saw that the capacitor was swollen. I tested it and it was dead. I had a 70Uf run cap on the truck. Replaced capacitor. Collected $310
Completed with no cool on a 2010 garage unit 2.5 ton straight electric horizontal in attic. Found breaker tripped, turned it back on and heard a sparkle noise in compressor, start up amps are very high, capacitor has oil stains, fan motor showing wear and evaporator coil is very rusted. Giving the option to do all preventative repairs, minimum repairs or complete unit upgrade.
Complete. Bad contactor/no 24 volts. Replaced with new 1pole contactor and tested in cooling mode. System age is 13 years Collected $351.80 by visa card
Maintenance X 1 The Master Bedroom System is not functioning. There are were ants, termites and other critters in everything. There were nests in and under all of the components. I removed all of the bugs and material I could. The Customer needs to get an electrician to address his Breaker. I left the power off to allow everything to dry out. I gave the Customer’s information to both Kevin and Russ.
Perform 3 system maintenance cleaned flame sensor inspected heat exchanger for cracks found none. Tighten wire connections checked amp draws on blower cleaned inducer draft port tested heat strips amp draws and voltage on air handler all 3 system are heating properly at this moment
Performed maintenance check out, washed condenser coils, inspection of all electrical. Customer will replace filters. Found ants all around condenser and on control board, customer will take care of problem for master bedroom. Flushed drains, everything else is working great.
