Need to reschedule when home owner is present. Inside and outside u it's turn on and run but can't check anything while Temps are below 50. Found system empty and pressures at 0. Quote was to replace. Customer has a 2019 coil so ill.vet either Chris about final pricing
Apon arrival checked in with customer the following are my findings Found the Outside the capacitor low informed the customer about his options he is going to wait until it fails and then replace it then units are working fine please see pictures attached and estimates
Customer tried wiring his best thermostat and had the wires mixed up
Warranty call Liquid line king valve was never opened. It masked as being low on refrigerant which had me chasing tail for a bit . Once running I had to add .5 lb of 410 to get pressures correct and let it run a bit .
Arrived to find systems running in heat mode due to lower Temps. 2 of the 3 units were working and one was turned off. Customer stated all 3 were down and not cooling previously. The unitbwithout power was checked and missing a belt. When powered on it ran in cooling but due to Temps no was way to check any of the system pressures. Will order a belt for it but this unit along with the other 2 are all missing filters and have dirty coils. The other 2 units were checked as well. The unit closest to the front responded and ran in cool without issues but the last one had a compressor that's grounded and unplugged. System has a 2 compressor setup and the one that out runs low stage. At the time nobody was at the shop to let me known exactly what was needed as far diagnostic was concerned and if they were aware of the current issues. My recommendations are to sign up under our maintenance plan(will waive diagnostic charges if so) and have us out to a thorough check and see what all is wron
One time maintenance on rheem unit. Upon checking the I found blower and coil both extremely dirty. Blower was pulling high amps but expected given its age. Ductwork is laying on the ground and has a turbo cap on the end of the supply plenum. Air Quality report was done and carbon monoxide was found but under 10ppm. Unit is original and almost 20 years old. Customer was walked thru all my findings and quite was given for replacement. Customer signed up for maintenance and said he's consider and would like Chris to come to make sure any deals to be had will be offered. As a courtesy ac was checked and system is extremely low on r22. Replacement is suggested along with ductwork. Can confirm heat is working but ac will have issues. Customer was unaware of any charges was thought this vivit was covered under climate care maintenance. I went ahead and did his first visit of the maintenance since there was confusion.
Performed maintenance on both units . Customer was aware that the Downstairs was on its last leg so I checked the cooling and heating and found a leak in evap coil that I showed her along with the multiple other issues . Husband is only available on weekends to. E present for quote. Set it up for Saturday.
Found chewed low volt wire . After fixing this I was still getting a lockout for high pressure . After omhing the hp switch I found it to be oL indicating bad pressure switch. I jumped the pressure switch to make sure the system was running properly and didnt really have a high head pressure . After verifying all this I called trane to place a warranty part order and they currently do not have a date for me due to it being on backorder . I got consent from the homeowner to bypass the hp switch until the part comes in . The po for the warranty part is 36642536
No cool upstairs system. I was here February 3 for a no heat. Arrive to find system overheat mode. Turn to the cool mode and found no low-voltage signal outside to the condenser. Made necessary repairs. System is 15 yrs old. It uses the refrigerant R 22. This refrigerant cost $450 per pound. Downstairs system is 18 years old.
Need to set follow appointment for Monday at 9 for us to come back out and give the system a check up
AC Service & Repair - Completed heat maintenance, found no float switch on both up flow systems in attic with rusty pans and build up in ducts to where it's starting to compromise the blower and control boards . Customer can't do repairs right now. Everything else is in turn up form I sent to customer .
AC Repair - Upon arrival found that the unit had no power to it From the light switch back and the breaker would not reset Informed the customer that she was going to have to have an electrician come out to Remediate Also informed the customer if problems persist to call us back
