Tech came out and did nothing to make our house cooler. All he said was we need new coils and a new unit and it was going cost us anywhere from 5-$12,000. Granted that’s a lot of money but would’ve been a little bit easier to swallow had not one of your techs just three weeks ago come out and service all 3 units, put freon in one of them and said they all looked fine. Two totally different messages. My wife said the guy today was nice but we wish he would’ve at least put a Band-Aid on the one in the living room to cool us off temporarily.
Diagnosed problem, solution determined and scheduled. One happy customer. Will recommend to friends, family and coworkers.
Customer called in after our service and requested service today. Arrived to find thermostat blank. Went to attic and verified. It was not the in-line float switch. I jumper to Y and made air conditioner. Come on manually. Went to thermostat and popped it off the subbase and verified 24 V was present. Thermostat back on and system came on. Unsure at this time if that was the original thermostat with the home owner. No charge today.
Upon inspection no issues found at this time cleaned condenser tested pressures and delta split to ensure proper efficiency.
Came out for cooling maintenance for two systems. Both systems were low on refrigerant. Added 1 pound to each system. Gave options for replacement of downstairs furnace and evap coil. Transaction number is #1153
Completed with estimate to replace a 4 ton or repair it, gave option to do all repairs or complete unit upgrade. Customer wants to go forward with a complete unit upgrade.
Dispatch for a thermostat issue. Arrived to find system and a hard lockout. Thermostat is the first generation 950 Trane. It is forgetting what equipment is in the home and outside. I went to the shop and discovered there were no thermostats to replace his with tonight, but I can order one on Monday.
Performed heating maintenance. Upstairs unit checked out fine. No issues with the furnace. I did jumper w1 and w2 together to allow for high stage heating. Downstairs is the system with issues that will show up in the future. The coil is leaking refrigerant. Coil is from 2006, condenser is 5 ton r22 13 seer from 2006 and the furnace is from 2000. The indoor motor for. Downstairs furnace is leaking its lubricant. Gave homeowner repair options but I would encourage system replacement due to potential for compressor failure and other failure inside of furnace that could happen.
Fall heater maintenance one system upstairs only gas furnace. Upon arrival the system was turned on and tested in heat mode. The blower motor, heat exchanger, burners, flame sensor, hot surface igniter, vent system, gas lines, ductwork, filter, and electrical connections were all inspected. The filter was dirty and was replaced with a new one. A second filter was left for future use. The system is heating properly at this time.
Performed two system gas heating maintenance. Two horizontal York 80% furnaces with ECM. cleaned flame sensor. Examined electrical and heating components. No failures with systems. Inducer and blower motors within specs. Filters are clean.
Complete Wires had a shortage pulled new thermostat wire back to unit. Tested at thermostat and system is working properly
Checked thermostat the thermostat was displaying code CFG008.01 This code means that the configuration for the indoor stage of heat was incorrect restored factory settings and went into install set up to configure the furnace to a two-stage gas furnace and two stage outdoor unit cooling only. The thermostat was set to a modulating furnace, but this furnace is not a modulating furnace, cycled cooling and heating on system is now operating properly.
Completed fall maintenance visit customer requested that he get a duct leakage test told him we'd get back to him with time and availability please see pictures attached customer also indicated he's having a temperature differential between his new duct and his old duct the new one is performing better and like to see how much it cost to get the others fixed
Preformed maintenance on the york system. System is older but is operational at this time. Customer declined replacement and wants to continue doing maintenance.see pictures.
Zac thermostat may have to be replaced due to internal issues with it all other things with system are up to code and standards.
