He's definitely an expert!

Bob at AC Pros is truly outstanding, he is super trustworthy, he's respectful to us and our house, he really knows HVAC better than anyone, he's thorough and speaks "plain English" when describing the work completed (English as opposed to tech-speak that you need a degree to understand). I highly recommend this AC Pto (Bob) and the company.

Heat performance tuneup times two systems. Client changes his own filter. Spec blower, evaporators and ductwork. Tested all safety features Hollyn mitten rollouts. Tightened all wire connections. Both units have faulty inducer motors. when second stage is engaged the bearings are making noise. Office will check the price and availability for the part. The upstairs unit is utilizing a 14 x 25 by one filter. This is a 100,000 BTU furnace. Recommendation is a 20 x 25 x 4“ filter rack. Cost is $495. And I told Alan we will email him prices for new furnaces in case we can’t find the part. No carbon monoxide or gas leaks detected in the home.

I was Dispatched to perform a Post-Install Walk-Through. The Customer’s have concerns about Air Balancing and Airflow. The Customer’s also have issues with the lack of communication between them, the Installers and Kevin. They are not angry, just a little frustrated. I promised to discuss their issues with Russ. I addressed Airflow and Air Balance. I walked through the Operation of modern equipment and a brief tutorial on the Thermostat. The Customer was able to correctly work his way through setting up and programming the Thermostat. It is possible we could have to discuss adding some Dampers if the Balancing does not achieve the desired outcome.

I was Dispatched to a noisy System Call. Upon arrival I found the Compressor to be defective. I attempted to make temporary repairs by replacing the Dual Run Capacitor and Hard Start Kit. This did not work. The Compressor is Defective. The System is a 15-year old 4-ton R-22 Goodman A/C Condenser with a York Horizontal Gas Furnace in the Attic.

Upon arrival I found the thermostats were turned off. Everett stated he did that after the louvers on each air handler stopped when it should have been cooling. Went outside and checked condenser and found that the compressor was off on high pressure. The refrigerant charge was weighed in when we installed the condenser so I knew it was not overcharged. I verified that the condenser coil was clear. Cycle power and system came on and was Cooling properly. I advised Everett what to do if it does it again. No charge for Diagnostic today because of all of the problems that Everett has gone through with this system.

AC performance tune-up times two systems. Inspect blowers, evaporators and ductwork. Filters do need to be changed and tenants are aware of this. Had to install two quick blast isolator valves to clear the primary drains. Both of them were on the verge of being backed up since they tee together to one common drain. Check outdoor units. Downstairs condenser needs a run capacitor. It is below Factory specifications. Upstairs is low on refrigerant. It is 15 years old and it is r22. Washed both condenser coils. We will wait for Vicky's call back to see if we can come back and install necessary parts and refrigerant.

I was Dispatched to a no cooling Call. Upon arrival I found the West System very low on Refrigerant R-22. I cleaned and serviced all three Systems. After servicing I rechecked all 3-Systems. The West System has a defective TXV. The TXV is metering to hard and causing depressed Suction and elevated Head Pressure. I can charge the System but it is extremely sluggish. The TXV is not metering correctly but it is working. At least in the short term. the Evaporator coil also has a leak or leaks. The West unit may freeze again. The TXV is keeping the pressure and temperature just above freezing. I will give Kevin a call and ask him to give an estimate.

AC performance tuneup comes one system. Changed out filter that client supplied. Inspect blower, evaporator and ductwork. Drains are flowing clear at this time. Check outdoor unit. Refrigerant level is good at this time. Test capacitor and contactor. Wash condenser coil. System operating at manufacture specs at this time.

Completed service checkout on upstairs. System was low on 410a. Added 2 pds of refrigerant and brought subcooling to 9 degrees. Everything is working fine.
