And finally got rid of the blockage in the condensate line!

Craig was able to quickly solve our A/C issue. Only one concern - we have a fairly new system (2yrs old) we bought from A/C Pros. When we bought the system, we paid for 5 years of maintenance, however, our issue I would technically consider part of routine maintenance. We paid for the service call to get our system operational again. Not sure I should have been charged. Office will get a call from me following the weekend.

Completed with heat 1 on a 2009 carrier heat pump 3.5 ton horizontal in attic, found heat strips trying to come on but won't come on, very rusted evaporator coil which can start leaking refrigerant at any time, unit very short on return needing additional 14 inch, compresor starting pulling 16 amps then went all way to 20 and went off, with a weak capacitor rated 45/5 reading 39/4 and no compressor saver. Giving customer the option to do all preventative repairs, minimum repairs or complete unit upgrade. Wife needs to talk to husband before making any decision.
Performed a gas furnace heat maintenance on a 1 year old system. No leaks detected, inducer motor and blower motor have appropriate amperage. Drains are clear. Furnace heated to over 102 degrees out of the supply. System is heating properly. I discussed possibly getting more attic insulation, customer may be interested in the future. Gold Comp maintenance.
Completed with estimate to replace a 5 ton trane heat pump up flow in closet for downstairs and add a 5 ton for a warehouse. Customer not ready to move forward untill talking with wife.
Completed with ac 1 on a 2011 Bryant heat pump 3 ton horizontal in attic, unit cooling at this time of check up. Found evaporator coil getting pretty rusted which can start leaking refrigerant at any time, ducts are not sealed properly there is alot of air leaking, alot of bacteria inside unit, no secondary float switch, compressor start up amps are very high with pitted contactor, no compresor saver and short on return. Refrigerant levels are good at this point with good capacitor and not burn marks on our door circuit board. Giving customer the option to do all preventative repairs, minimum repairs or complete unit upgrade. Customer requested pricing for unit upgrade but not ready to move forward on replacing it. Approved to add compressor saver only.
2 system maintenance, heat, gas, 2017 Changed filter on D.S. unit, pretty dirty Amps on blower motor are good. Checked flame sensors. Units heating at this time.
Performed a 1 system maintenance on a 9 year old Lennox system. Everything tested well, 16 degree split. I believe that there is an issue with the return in the bedroom being to close to the supply, causing the room to be a hot spot. Customer also stated that his electric bill has been higher than usual. Gave an estimate for an air balancing. System is cooling properly.
Completed an AC maintenance on a 19 year old Trane XB 12. Indoor issues only drain is really dirty. Advised customer to pour vinegar down drain every couple months to keep clean. 20 degree split. Outdoor issues only Armaflex needed. Suction line temp 65 degrees. Customer complained of daughter’s room being a hot spot. Left an estimate for adding return. Also advised customer that system has reached its life expectancy and considering replacement is better sooner than later. System is cooling properly.
Performed 2 System maintenance on 2 Lennox Furnaces. No gas leak detected, No Co2 leak detected. Flu pipes are installed correctly. Systems both heating to over 120. Both systems are heating properly.
2019 heatpump maintenance, blower amps are good, drain is clear, filter changed by homeowner, pressures are good, washed off condenser, capacitor is low on compressor terminal, unit is cooling at this time left recommendations with customer.
Performed a 2 system heat maintenance. Both systems are heating properly and all components are in good condition. No leaks detected. Inducer motors drawing correct amperage. Blowing over 100 degrees from both systems. Collected $138
One system maintenance, 2024 furnace and coil, 2016 condenser, filter needs to be changed, homeowner is getting a new one, tstat seems to be a few degrees off, homeowner is getting a replacement. Drain line is clear, washed off condenser, pressures are within a good range.
Completed with ac 2 on 2016 Lennox merit heat pumps up flow in closet both 3 tons. Found downstairs main freezing up due to being low on refrigerant, both evaporator coils are rusted with no secondary float switches and upstairs has a weak capacitor. Giving customer the option to do all preventative repairs, minimum repairs or complete downstairs upgrade. Customer approved adding refrigerant to downstairs unit and replacing upstairs capacitor. Both units running at this time of check up.
Completed with ac 1 on 13 year old gas up flow in closet 4 ton, unit cooling at this time of check up. Found blower motor with oil stains, no secondary float switch, compresor pulling 12 amps out of 15 and pitted contactor. Giving customer the option to do all preventative repairs, minimum repairs or complete unit upgrade. Customer will wait for now.
1 system maintenance 2006 ahu, 2016 condenser heat pump, drain line clear, cleaned condenser, found growth on coil and blower cage, strongly recommended uv kit. Pressures look good. Recommended a compressor saver kit as well, left estimate with homeowner. Signed up for membership.
Arrived for possible call back, 68 in the house now, blowing 54 degree air, house probably stayed cold over night and when homeowner put tstat to 73, it didn't reach that temp to turn on unit, recommended setting tstat a little lower at night to see if that helps.
