Arrived on site for heating maintenance on 2017 Trane furnace. Homeowner stated all was well with normal system operation. Tested pressure switch and cleaned ports of sediment. Tested and cleaned flame sensor. Also tested inducer motor and found it to be within manufacturer specs. Replaced return filter and inspected blower wheel and motor. Noted there was no sediment trap on the gas line. Upon inspecting the outdoor unit I found a dead rat in the top of the compartment. I removed the rodent and inspected all the visible wires and found no issues. I then tested the capacitor and contactor and found them both to be testing close to manufacturer limits. The capacitor more so on the fan side 6.9/7.5 coupled with the age of the capacitor does worry me for the continued functionality of the unit. Discussed options for addressing the capacitor and the sediment trap with the homeowner. Homeowner elected to install the sediment trap and wait on the capacitor until spring. Performed installatio
