A local competitor was out the previous day and quoted me $1200.00 to install a replacement gas valve in my furnace which they told me was normally $1500.00 but I would get the special price because we had an anual service plan with them and stated it would take a few days to get it . They had an alternate option and quoted me on a replacement furnace for only a few hundred dollars more, about $2000.00 which at the moment sounded like the best way to go. It would be a few days before the work could be done, so we gave him a check to install a new furnace. The following morning I checked out pricing online for the gas valve and found it retail was only about $250 dollars. This raises a red flag with me so I called another local HVAC company named Aries Mechanical and spoke with Steve. He was able to locate the part locally, did the service the same day (it was a Sunday) and cleaned the furnace as well for only $650. Well all I can say is do you homework because you can easily get taken advantage of. Aries Mechanical was honest, knowledgable and performed great job. They are number 1 in my book and I highly recommend them.
