Customer wanted estimate for a rheem 32k from HD install.Wrote up estimate for customer and e-mailed to customer.Customer stated she will look over estimates and get back to us and would like an estimated time we can install if she goes with estimate.
Arrived on site and spoke with homeowner. Explained compressor has been making noise for a few days and finally stopped cooling this morning with compressor no longer running. Inspected system to find stand up reach in freezer very clean with clear coils. Pulled away from wall to expose compressor and start components. Tested start components to find all functional and within range. Tested compressor windings to find compressor to fail windings test and not ohm correctly. This shows windings in compressor are internally damaged causing failure to run. Will submit quote to replace compressor and start component package in system to further test operation. Recommend replacement of freezer at this point in time due to high cost of repairs. All work is complete.
Performed cooling maintenance on package air conditioner system. Checked all motor amperages, capacitor ratings, and refrigerant pressures. System is 11 years old. Found condenser fan motor capacitor is weakening and should be replaced soon. Recommended adding AC renew oil additive for lubrication and performance improvement. Recommended having a surge protector replaced. Spoke to home owner about a VIP membership.
Arrived at customers house worked on my maintenance his unit was really new everything was good amps caps pressures contactor blower and blower caps unit running as it should told customer about VIP member and he said he will think about it
Install owner’s Rheem 32,000 softener system, we will provide parts and labor, customer has loop, please mail invoice.
Called customer customer needs an hour before we come over done for now running another call. Arrived on site went over everything with wife on conditioning system. Husband want home at time of quote, done for now gonna call husband later and see if I can come back and explain to him. Died reaching out to customer no answer
