Excellent Service Rep!

Jaime has the great combo of professional and warm towards the customer. He was very thorough on the tune up including washing down the boxes outside with my hose and then putting the hose away. He was helpful in informing me that I possibly needed a surge protector (which should have been offered by the Ambient consultants when I bought the new system) and informed me of the new price increase of my Ambient monthly retainer which I received no notice via email from the company. He even took the time to fix the new filters I had placed incorrectly and did so with humor and kindness. I would like him to come to all of my future calls. He is honest and kind and knowledgeable.

Frustrating outcome

I put in a service request for two areas of concern. Which would be three HVAC units all having numbers on the thermostat coinciding with the unit on the roof. My account has notes to call me when on property, the service confirmation said I would receive a time frame when the technician was on property so I could ensure I was there. Neither of these happened. The technician told my chef who is not a contact whatsoever that two compressors are shot and not fixable. I called in since the other 2 units aren’t working and he didn’t comment on those. His answer is I have three thermostats to one unit, which is incorrect. Again, I have numbered thermostats to their units. He was not thorough and left the job incomplete. I have a wedding tonight that will have a reception in an 80° room because he didn’t take an extra five minutes. Completely unhappy with this company the last 3 months. I have requested to speak with management because at this point I do not want to work with this company going forward although I have a contract. I don’t find it to be an honest company at this point with the experiences that I have had with my recent technicians. This may be the most disappointing experience so far.

Excellent service and terrific technicians!

Jaden Szelestey and Kevin Rice did my air conditioning tune-up yesterday at a very special price (I was previously a Mojave Air customer, which is now a part of Ambient Edge). Kevin Rice did the air conditioning tune-up and he spent some time to make sure the unit was cleaned properly and checked. Both technicians were able to answer all of my questions to my satisfaction, and described in detail all of the services I received. They were not put off by my queries. In fact, they were pleased that I had an interest in the products offered. Something that I had inquired about previously from Mojave Air was an air purification system. At the time I decided not to do it as it cost more than I wanted to spend at that time. Ambient Edge has an RGF purification system that attaches easily to the furnace and actually costs less than the individual purification units in my home that I have had for years (yes, I have a lot of allergies). It will not increase my cost of replacing the 3M 2200 filter as I already change it monthly, and I do not need to clean the purification unit. Just another layer of protection for me. Ambient Edge has a VIP Club membership available (monthly or annual fee available), and, after hearing about it, I decided to sign up as I deemed it a service that could be important to me if I have a failure of air conditioning unit or furnace. I very much appreciate the time and trouble that Kevin and Jaden took to explain everything that they were doing to me. Both technicians were patient, kind, considerate, understanding, knowledgeable, honest, truthful, and efficient. I asked a lot of questions and they had a lot of answers. Yes, they impressed me greatly. I could not have asked for better representatives of Ambient Edge.

Great Job Jack!

Jack came out to replace a gas regulator that was compromised from the factory. With a quick trip to home depot he had it up and running pretty fast. While testing both units to make sure the heat was working properly we noticed the other unit wasn't working. He found a wire that was cut by the fan and fixed that as well. Now I know when the time comes we will have 2 working heaters. Thanks for the excellent service.

Upon inspection found evaporator coil frozen over, and suction line. Inspected condenser and found leak at king valve on compressor. Recover refrigerant, install new king valve, nitro leak test, vacuum system, charge system to factory spec and test for proper operation. Arrived on site, checked in with mod Chris. Proceeded with the repairs, recovered refrigerant, install new king valve, nitrogen leak test, vacuum unit. Upon charging the unit noticed the compressors was making a hissing noise. My suction was getting warmer and my vapor saturation was high. Did more investigating and found that the compressor is not able to pump down and it bypasses hot gas to suction side. The valve on compressor are bad. Quoting all work to be done, let mod Chris know of my finding. Unit is running but not cooling properly.

MOD Kira C//arrived, checked in with site staff. Inspected RTU1, found system out on High pressure lockout and one of the CFMs failed and seized. Had a suitable universal model, received approval of new NTE for repairs on site from Jade with Comfort Systems. Replaced motor and restarted system. Unit began cooling normally. System is operational at the end of service.

Arrived on site and inspected unit, found compressor running with no sign of leaks, compressor wasn’t working properly, it was running electrically but mechanically it wasn’t compressing any, quoted for compressor swap under warranty and he approved, repair will be don’t the following day.

Arrived on site and checked in with the manager on duty, the restaurant was still very busy. Went to the roof and cleaned the walk-in cooler and freezer condenser coils with water. Came back to the store and knocked off the dust/debris on the reach- ins with a brush. Installed all new filter media. Discarded all of the ice in the ice machine and performed the first cleaning cycle. Removed all necessary components in reference to the manufacture manual, cleaned and sanitized. Ran the cleaning cycle again with sanitizer. Aloud unit to make one batch of ice and discarded. All refrigeration maintenance is completed. Checked out with Izzabella

Arrived, checked in with staff. Inspected 2nd story hallway system. Found air handler operating and proceeded outdoors. Discovered contactor pulled in and condenser with proper power, but no operation. Capacitor for condenser fan and compressor was measured and is completely failed. Got approval and replaced capacitor. Restored power to system, which began cooling. System is operational at the end of service.

Ambient to supply and install New condenser ( Existing condenser needs a new compressor) Arrived, checked in with staff. Recovered charge, removed and replaced outdoor heat pump unit for apartment #309. Pressure tested system, vacuumed and restored power and control. New unit is functional and now cools with a 21 degree cooling split. Observed operation and did not see any issues at this time. System operational at the end of service. Recently installed parts left on site per customer request, 1 CFM and 1 capacitor.

Worked on ice cooler. Upon unit was off and unplugged. Customer stated they lost power to building and when power was established the compressor wouldn’t start. I found this unit had a special plug that supplies power to unit. The section off plug that supplies power to compressor section is broken internally. I by passed plug to test unit. Unit continuously goes out on thermal overload. I will be quoting a new OEM plug and compressor. 1

Arrived on site met with home owner, customer has a multi system home, performed spring maintance, checked amps on motors, made sure caps were within manufacturer specs, and made sure contactor was not pitted, unit is working as designed, washed both coils, both coils were dirty, and also quoted customer for two surge protectors, customer wants to review estimate, she also wants to know if EAP is over and she needs to sign up for vip.
