Great service and knowledgeable technician
We have been Bay Area customers for more than 10 years. We purchased our unit from them with a 10 year warranty, which we renewed recently. The smaller upper unit was replaced 9 years ago. The service has always been responsive - even following a hurricane a few years back. Typical repair time 1-2 days. Always a pleasant experience. We were referred to them by a friend and we referred them to our friend. EVERYONE IS VERY HAPPY - still. We were just talking about them yesterday - the day before service. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
The service personnel was fantastic.
I was 100% satisfied with the information Cliff provided. When I need a new air conditioner Bay Area would be my first call
Prompt, courteous, informative
The Technician quickly and accurately determined the system was functioning correctly and no repairs were required. He made pressure and temperature measurements as required and provided a detailed email with all the readings. Nothing to hide here ... just a a very good company. Thanks!
Call back completed, advised client systems age and condition, options and recommendation were made, paperwork for systems replacement is completed. Client will call with a decision for system replacement
Found a bad blower motor. Replaced the blower motor and tested the systems operation. Added less than a pound of 410a.
Service call completed, safety switch open on arrival, drain and flush condensation line, check system operations, all systems vitals are good at this time
Unit operating but very dirty coils. Perform yearly maintenance checks and cleanings. System operating and draining at this time. Float switch has been disconnected. No filter in return.
This is An Estimate to Install A New Carrier 14 seer Heat Pump.
upon arrival the drainline was clogged. I did tuneup and cleaned and flushed drainline. I checked refrigerant pressures and static pressure. I checked temp splits. I cleaned both coils with pressure washer. I checked capacitor and contactor. It is cooling and draining at this time. It was done between light rain and heavy rain.
System has dirty evaporator coil, restricting dehumidification. Compressor amp draw is 8.9/18 and fan is .9/1.1. Filter was slightly dirty at time of arrival. P Trap was positioned in a way that it would allow air to be ducked in from outside and not dehumidify properly. Adjusted and printed p trap, cleaned coil, and instructed tenant to change filters more frequently. The mini split is operating fine. Pressures and temperature splits are normal and unit is cooling. If customer has issue with heat still, recommend adding fan to better circulate air, and possibly turn in exhaust fan in bathroom to remove warm air sitting near the ceiling.
Unit operating, filter impacted. Removed filter which made a marginal improvement but TD is still very low. Check refrigerant and amp draw, conclusion is system is doing what it can, but not able to maintain temperature in peak temperatures of summer. 21 yrs old and R22. Recommend replacing system with new Carrier AC system. Quote new equipment.
Service call completed, upon arrival check system operations, outdoor contactor engaging but system wasn't energized, noticed contactor element severed burn by traced of ants , checked other electrical components and dual capacitor need replacement as well, removed and replaced defective components and check and tested equipment, advised client systems age and condition , system is operating at this time
Found that the filter door was making a noise. Sealed the top and bottom of the filter door and also tightened all the screws on the outside condenser.
Unit was still doing at time of arrival. Unable to pull static pressures due to position if air handler. Tried lowering and raising fan speed. Talked with Rob and Dale about possible problems. Unable to figure out. Did online research and found info on oil being in coils from manufacturing causing similar problems. Washed could with Dawn/ water mixture and rinsed thoroughly. Doing seems to have stopped. Customer will change drop plans tonight and monitor over Friday and call us back if problem persists.
Upon arrival water was dripping under metal stand in closet. I opened panel and found iced over. I thawed system out by using heat mode off and on. Then I cleaned pan and condensation pump. While doing so I noticed outdoor unit jot shutting down. I found contactor stuck in. The contact was tilted and not making full contact and binding. I straightened it and worked fine. The system is cooling and draining into condensation pump and is pumped outside.
Attempted Tune Up FW moved in, waited 30 min with no let up Office to RS to complete, ODU only left
Completed the maintenance inspection. The media filter was damaged and will need to return with a new one.
