We have had an ongoing refrigerant leak in our air conditioner, one that is very hard to pinpoint. Jeff has done a very diligent job of trying to locate it, and we’re both hoping it’s finally fixed. As a retired tradesman who has extensive refrigeration experience myself, I really appreciate his commitment and skills.
Through no fault of his, this is the second time Jeff has had to service our A/C this year. Both times he has demonstrated conscientious professionalism in approaching and taking care of the problems. He has consistently explained what was wrong and his solution clearly. As a retired service technician myself, I recognize good service!

Upon arrival I added 9 lbs of R410A refrigerant furnished by homeowner to keep cooling until his new coil comes in.

Upon arrival the system was low on refrigerant. This is the 2nd time I have been out for same problem. I could not find leak the last time I was here. This time I found oil in condenser and found capillary tubes rubbed together and the coil was leaking. I showed homeowner where leak was coming from and told I would get a quote. I had dale fix call it was set up for citrus County. Then could submit quote. We discussed all options of replacements. I did not charge for leak search and dispatch fee i was just out in April for same problem.
Completed the maintenance inspection.
upon arrival I found system low of refrigerant. I added 3 lbs of R410A. Then I leaked searched the airhandler and could jot find a leak anywhere. I removed condenser fan. Then checked everything outside. I could jot find a leak anywhere. I removed my hoses to check Schrader cores. I cleaned refrigerant sprayed my hoses and found both cores leaking. I tightened both cores and resprsyed with soap and water. I had no more bubbles. It is cooling at this time.
System maintenance on heatpump system.
Evalualuated zone system, recommended replacement due to age and condition
upon arrival i found low voltage fuse blown. I went to condenser and found pressure switch wires rubbing on refrigerant lines. I repaired wire and made sure they were not touching tubing. I tested pressures and got equipment info.
Checked electric heat elements and verified they are working. Tested heatpump side of package system. Wired system so electric heating elements will turn on with heatpump Auxiliary heat when needed. Air temperature at air vents with both heatpump and aux heat was 116 degrees.
Only 1 access to the roof requires 2 ladders and 2 techs. Decline service per John.
Testing concluded ID Unit control board not communicating correctly, refuses to ID indoor Replaced with correct board and now controller IDs as different model, however does ID system size and testing shows air flow at 1207cfm Contacting Carrier for verification of certain results currently existing , per customer request old board left on property
Completed the maintenance inspection. No recommendations at this time.
Assisted Dave with pulling wire
Installed standard thermostat at customer request to getmsystem working . Need to return to replace thermostat wire under house . Will need two techs. Cost time and materials. Used TP N 621 Collected $251
System number 2 Replaced thermistor sensor kit. Tested cooling Collecting 2 diagnostic fees on this invoice for other system.
