Will ask for him when we need Ckeaning service
Stephen had quite a mess to deal with since I haven't had my system maintained as often as I should. He was very thorough in the cleaning and taught me that it's not good for the unit to have air filters both in my air return and in the handler. The last company I used barely touched the air handler, let alone cleaned it so well. Best $79 I've spent in a long time!
Steve Fitzgerald, has been our Service Technician for many years.. He is truly an Asset to the Company . He is very polite, knowledgeable & most important....understanding.
The service rep. was very friendly, and knowledgeable. Completed the service call in a timely manner, and left everything clean and in place. Great service by Bay Area.
Steve was extremely knowledgeable. He did a thorough inspection and made some recommendations to keep the equipment running efficiently.
We have had Shane come to our rescue several times as we seem to always have air conditioning issues with a house full of guests. He is polite, efficient and always manages to fix our issues. We like to request him whenever possible. Great employee.
He was professional and very good. Cleaned everything up after he was done like he was never there.
I have been and still am very impressed with the personnel that Bay Area A/C have. They are very professional and also through while checking your unit. They will share with you information on your unit, such as the estimated life your unit should have, any potential problems and estimates on a new unit. My unit is old and I know it will soon need to be replaced and when it does I will turn to Bay Area A/C. I've used them, I trust them and I will purchase from them.
On arrival, turned system on and listened for examples of loud noise or whistling. Noticed that the system was spinning fan up high to overcome static. Measured duct system static pressures and found that the air media filter was causing airflow restrictions. Recommended replacing media filter to improve airflow static. Also taped the seam between 1" filter door and main cabinet door to help seal system from air leakage. This improved the situation, but new filter media is still required to fully solve the issue. Customer states he will order filter replacements himself.
Second opinion completed, collect information of the system, send a quote request to parts department, system down and out at this time
Service call completed, upon arrival fan blade found off from motor shaft, inspect blade and reinstalled, tested equipment operations, unit is operating at this time
Ran new thermostst wire from air handler to outdoor unit. Restored power and verified proper operation.
Need to do load calcs...total remodel
flex duct installation. Need to bring duct wrap insulation to update the supply box insulation.
Customer complaint was unit gets very loud on start up. Upon arrival unit was operating normally. Started unit up in both heating and cooling to try to imitate noise again. Both in heating and cooling blower motor will ramp up normally. Unit would not make the noise again. Unit is running normally at this time.
On arrival, found that water was leaking out of the air handler stand in the bottom corner. Introduced water to system and found that the leak was coming from the threaded connection from condensate pan to PVC pipe. Disassembled condensate piping and found that the threaded male adapter was cracked between threads, which would be the cause of the leak. Replaced male adapter and tested condensate drain. Found no other water leaks. System is now in good operating condition.
Maintenance completed. Checked all electrical connections, amp draws and refrigerant levels. Cleaned indoor and outdoor coils, treated drain pan with antimicrobial spray and pan tablets. System is running normally at this time. Found coil completely dirty used mini pressure washer to clean.
Arrived to find that outdoor fan motor would not run during cooling call. Tested capacitor, okay. Outdoor fan motor amps are LRA. Attempted to use rescue generic motor to bring system back online but the mounting holes did not align with the fan cage. This system requires an OEM replacement. Ordered part and will need to return to install and commission system. System is currently not in good operating condition. Diagnostic may have not been collected due to poor cellular service.
System operating and functioning properly at this time. Annual maintenance completed.
