Ben has come out twice to solve two different issues for us. He is extremely punctual, knowledgeable, patient, and just all and all great at what he does. The office staff at Bay Area AC in NPR is also top notch. We highly recommend.
Glen did an excellent job doing the yearly checkup for our HVAC unit. He also called me back explaining in detail how to clean the drip line.
A very helpful, knowledgeable technician and a great service.
The technician was highly professional, a very efficient and did a fantastic job.
Matt is an excellent technician! His professionalism is only exceeded by his integrity and desire to have his customer completely satisfied.
With temps in the 90s inside the house this guy was a savior. Very professional. Very informative and considerate. I will always call this company when I have AC needs. Best around!
Professional, honest and great work!! Will definitely continue using them in the future!
Matt is the fifth employee from Bay Area AC to come out to our house for sales, service, upgrades, etc. I would trust all of them entirely. This is the best company with the best employees ever. They all know what they are doing, are honest (refreshingly, even the salesman), and the company even registered our equipment for us so that Carrier would double our warranty (something that our previous company with Bryant didn’t do). We had several quotes before buying the system, and Jim was the ONLY one who did math calculations to recommend the size of the system we needed. ALL the others were emphatic that we needed one ton larger than we (and the Duke energy inspector) thought we needed. AND, they ended up being cheaper for like specifications and most or all the others. Amazing! Thank you, Matt et all.
David was amazing and we would be happy to have him back anytime we need service.
Mr David Spencer was the most informed A/C person we have met and answered all our questions. Highly recommend Bay Area A/C!!
Changed some settings on the thermostat in the main bedroom to allow dehumification.
Found the system low on r22 and a bad capacitor. The customer still wanted me to only add one pound of r22 which wasn't enough. More is needed.
installed new blower motor and AH control board (1185246 & 1191443), removed factory filter from AH & tested blower funcrions Per quote 252.00 Noted TSP over 1", while checking remote filters found a 14" butterfly damper in main return (90% closed). Fully opened damper and rechecked static values Ducting needs further examination
Maintenance completed. Checked refrigerant pressures, static pressures, and temperature splits. Cleaned outdoor unit and waxed. Vacuumed and flushed drain line. Unit is operating normally.
SW corner classroom in complaint Stat was set at 71 and reading 71 Set stat down and inspected AHUs 2 & 4 both running and cooling Found filter completely impacted, found 2 new filters, replaced filters in #2 & #4, both impacted and dated 6/23/21 Temp in space down to 68, reset to 71
10 year parts and 1 year labor warranty
Installed the Ecobee Smart thermostat pro and set up the dehumification and tested the systems operation.
Checked over the wiring on the customers provided thermostat to find that the ecobee3 lite series doesn't offer dehumification option. Only the non lite series offered dehumification.
Found peace of foam stuck on fan blade took off no more noise unit isna 2021 temporary. Also replaced filter that customer provided.
Customer stated that system was only blowing hot air. Upon inspecting air handler, I noticed that the reversing valve wire going to the condenser was not being energized due to a break in the wire. I spliced the wires and now the reversing valve is being energized and the system is cooling. I made sure the system operates properly in heating and cooling. Unit is running at this time. Supply air temp in cooling: 51°F
Found a faulty safety switch at the air handler. Replaced the switch at no charge per David T. Flushed the drain line and tested the cooling operation.
Checked system. Found strange noise coming from condenser when blower ramps to low fan speed. Blower Motor seems to have a mind of its own. Return static pressure went from .18 to .45 then to .37. The customer is sick of this unit and the problems it's been having and would rather have it replaced.
No answer. Wasn't able to answer the customers question.
System had returned to normal function prior to service call One fault 41 and one stage down were recorded (4 zone damper controls) Non of the possible causes for the fault were apparent at the present time. Existing filter (infinity air purifier) is dirty to excess, customer had a spare. Dated & installed same Set filter timer from 3 mnths to 6
