Unit one was not running. I had no low voltage. I installed a breaker and instantly found bare wires that were shorting out. I repaired wires and replaced fuse. It is cooling at this time. Took a little while to match airhandler to right condenser.

Customer concern was no heat. Upon arrival noticed system Indoor and outdoor thermostat only have 4 wires. Heat strips are not wired. Running only 1st stage heat. Informed unit will struggle to maintain heat durinng cold night. Quoted to replace indoor and outdoor thermostat wire. Unit is running at this time. 90⁰ coming out of vents. Emailed bill and quote.

Upon arrival the homeowner explained the smell in house. Dirty sock syndrome. After talking with MGR he is sending down a solution to be sprayed on coil. I rescheduled to return with solution when received at NPR shop.

Upon arrival I tried recreating noise by shifting reversing. The homeowner said the hissing noise at the start of the shift was the noise but really loud and did not stop till he shutdown system. I checked refrigerant pressures in cool and heat. Valve shifted normal every time. It must of stuck once from lack of shifting during the cooling months. We discussed quotes that was given to him for new system. I could not pun point a problem at this time.

Checked over the system to see if I could find the source of the odor. I went ahead and sprayed the air handler and return box with Hydrogen Peroxide and wiped down the blower wires.
