Jeff is super awesome and is great to work with. I havw referred you and him to all my friends
So glad we could get service right away and Jeff is always so kind and explains everything very
The service and the technician were excellent. He came to the house on the scheduled time and provided preventative maintenance. In addition to the maintenance, he identified a part in the AC unit that was starting to fail. He quickly replaced the part and I could not be happier.
Called company to have my ac units checked and cleaned. got job scheduled within 3 days. Technician arrived on time, was very pleasant and answered all my questions.
Jeff show up early PM as scheduled. Jeff went about taking care of my problems and very satisfactory repaired the over flow and drained the tray below the air conditioner. I would highly recommend Bay Area to my neighbors.
I will say that soon as my Serve with Superior runs out we would like to do the Service Contract with you. Thank you and let Jeff know we are very satisfied with him.
From the moment I called to schedule an appt through to job performance, your customer service was amazing. Professional, knowledgeable, would use again and refer without a doubt.
i have been with Bay area air conditioning as a customer for 20 years. i called the other morning at 4.30 am to their answering service with an emergency. they had a technician to me by 10 am the same day. The technician was first class .
The technician was someone familiar to us and with our cooling/heating units because he had installed and maintained them previously. I felt comfortable having him work in our home and servicing the units inside and out.
I am so happy I had signed up for extended warranty when purchasing the Carrier from Bay Area nine years ago
Found system contactor had a bad 24 volt coil. This blew 5 amp fuse in A/H and stat went blank with no 24 volt. Changed contactor and tested system. Found no other issues.
Routine Tune Up Tested Heatin Lo & Hi, gas safeties, draft inducer, flame color & size Tested in Cooling, found 40×5 capacitor output at 23×3 replaced dual capacitor
Added 10 lbs R410A. System operating at this time. Customer is scheduled for new equipment next week.
Checked over the system. Found the Subcooling low which would cause the system to freeze. I also found a bad blower relay which is causing the blower to run all the time and the electric heater is running due to a bad heater relay. The customer has a January electric bill of $609.47 and a December electric bill of $432.76 The system is 15 years old and in poor condition. I'd recommend having the system replaced.
Replaced heat fan inducer assembly. System operating at this time. Parts warranty.
Heat impeller is out of balance. Wobbles when at top speed. Pull and inspect wheel, reinstall and test. Ordered new assembly. Heating down, cooling available.
Upon arrival I noticed condenser lineset and accumulator iced over. I pulled disconnect to stop refrigerant flow. Then I went to airhandler and removed panel. The evaporator coil was iced over. I took hose and I melted ice with water hose. Then installed panel and restarted condenser. It was showing low on refrigerant charge. Suction was around 32 degrees. Then I went and chevked filter. It was a pleated filter and do to be changed in a few weeks. I removed filter do to it being dirty and pressures came back to normal. I discussed with tent to replace filter sooner than recommended. The system is cooling and draining at this time.
System maintenance on heatpump system.
I called customer to let her know drainline was clear. No one answered I left message telling her I cleaned it and is working. I tried calling twice.
I finally found what was causing water to backup into float. And removed it. It is draining well at this time.
Upon arrival the drainline was backing by draining slowly. Then system would start again. I removed panel and cleaned coul. It had buildup on it. Then I added drainsolve to line then flushed multiple times. It is cooling and draining at this time.
Found that the condensation isn't coming from the ac system.
Clear drain and pan. Dripping from evaporator coil due to excessive pet hair buildup. Recommend replacing system with new Carrier AC system, unit is 15 yrs old and R22. A pull and clean service is 474$ with no guarentee that coils won't develop a leak. Currently refrigerant pressures are good, 75/ 220. Picture attached of coil.
Found the system had the breaker off and a dead frog behind the AOC board. Reset the system to find error code 48. Loss comm. With inverter. Recommend replacing the inverter and control board. Will place the order today.
