The tech was great. Very polite and knowledgeable. It took time to get the part and the communication was the greatest while waiting but the tech made this experience worth it.
Very pleased with the service and men doing the work. Rated lower on cost - only because I'm not used to 'major' work being done
The Black Haak team has done work for me in 4 homes now installing new ac and furnaces, exhaust fans, and even wired a sub panel in my garage for me. They are quick to respond, professional, and courteous.
Hunter went above and beyond to fix the problem!
Kody was wonderful in explaining what was wrong (plugged with cottonwood) and cleaning and reinspecting to make sure all was well. Very friendly and professional!
They came within 20 minutes of my call...insisted on replacing my AC on July 4 at no extra charge. We’re patient with all my questions! I would highly recommend them!
Was overpriced compared to other contractors but unfortunately was only one who answered the phone
I was able to chat Black-Haak as it was later in the day. They took down my information and got back to me the following morning. They able a technician (Kody) out to us within 30 minutes of speaking with them. I like the quick response and look to continue having them service our HVAC unit for years to come.
Pkg clean and tune. Furnace clean and tune. Cycled system. Checked heat exchanger. Found all three chambers are showing rust and signs of ware. Removed and checked burners and flame sensor, both ok. Checked and adjusted gas pressures to maximize efficiency. Checked wiring and clamps. Found rust damage to blower compartment. Checked for CO and XS air levels in exhaust. Normal levels found. No CO found in airstream. Average life expectancy for this unit is 14 years. This system is showing signs of getting worn. Future failure is expected. System operating normal at this time. AC Checked indoor coil with refrigerant sniffer, no indications of leaks found at this time. Cycled system. Checked and cleaned electrical compartment. Compressor and fan motor tested lower, but within normal range. Used coil cleaner on condenser coil. Hooked up gauges and checked pressures and temps. Subcooling was 15. Indoor coil temp was 43. Checked indoor temp split, found that split to be 17. Average life ex
Preformed generator maintenance.
I replaced the main pcb board in the outdoor unit. Cycled the air conditioner. All the indoor heads are cooling now. Noticed the outdoor coil was very dirty. I washed the coil. We will call to schedule the rest of the air conditioner clean and tune and double check the operation of the system. Part was covered under the units warranty. Labor wasn’t.
Furnace start up. Installed two T-6 pro WIFI thermostats. Checked incoming and outgoing gas pressures. Adjusted to maximize efficiency. Checked all electrical connections, ok. Checked clamps and components. Checked levels of CO and XS air in exhaust, normal range found. No CO found in airstream. Temp rise tested, ok. System operating normal at this time. Job complete.
Installed AC customer is approved for $6,014 not $6,041
Performed AC cleaning; found the resistor blown but system is still operating, tested fan motor which did test weak at 50%. This system is 14 years old due to age, condition, and cost to repair I highly recommended looking into replacement of this system. Job complete
Ac clean and tune. Checked indoor coil. Clear drain line. Checked filter. Cycled system. Checked and cleaned electrical compartment. Capacitor is now. Contactor is worn, but operating normal at this time. Used coil cleaner on condenser coil. Hooked up gauges and checked pressures and temps. Subcooling was 12. Indoor coil was 40 degrees. Checked indoor temp split. Split was 19. System operating normal at this time. Job complete.
Performed preferred customer package cleaning. Cycled the furnace. Cleaned the burners and the flame sensor. Wiped out the inside of the furnace. Checked the electrical. Performed furnace combustion test. The furnace is running normally at this time. Cycled the air conditioner. Checked the indoor coil for leaks. Cleaned the condenser coil. Checked the electrical. Checked the refrigerant levels. No issues with the air conditioner at this time.
Ac clean and tune. Checked indoor coil. Changed filter. Filter was very plugged. Cleared drain lines. Cycled system. Checked and cleaned electrical compartment. Used coil cleaner on condenser coil. Condenser coil was very plugged. Hooked up gauges and checked pressures and temps. Found subcooling at 12. Indoor coil was 38 degrees. Checked indoor temp split. Temp split was 18 degrees. System operating normal at this time. Customer stated that they had issues with cooling two times this year. I believe issues came from very plugged filter and condenser. Filter should be replaced every 2 months. Job complete.
Ac clean and tune. Checked indoor coil with refrigerant sniffer, found indications of a leak on that coil. Cycled system. Hooked up gauges and and found indoor coil temp was 25, subcooling was 25. System is low on refrigerant. Condenser coil is plugged, refrigerant level is low enough that this did not get the head pressures up. Checked indoor cooling. Found split to be 10 degrees. Average life of this unit is 14 years, this system is 30+ years old and in very poor condition. Due to age, condition, and cost to repair, second opinion is recommended. System is not cooling at this time. Job complete. No charges pending results of second.
Performed AC clean and tune; inspected the condenser electrical compartment and tested components, sprayed condenser with coil cleaner, cycled system on and checked pressures and temps system is currently cooling at 17 degrees. Also did replace hepa filters as well as left the back up pre filter on the furnace. This system is currently operating normal at this time. Job complete
Performed the level 2 furnace cleaning. Burners and flame sensor are clean. Heat exchanger looks good. Combustion readings were normal. No CO detected in the air. Heat rise was 41°. Unit is heating properly.
I started the 2 package cleaning with the furnace side of both systems. The master bedroom furnace: I removed the burners and inspected the heat exchanger, there’s a decent amount of rust which isn’t uncommon for a 20 year old unit. I smoke tested the heat exchanger and have some blow back in the left cell, this is indicating that there’s a crack in the heat exchanger or the metal has split apart at one of the seams. Tested the igniter, tested good. The pressure tubing running from the collector box to the drain trap is cracked, this will start to cause problems come fall/winter. I checked the exhaust readings. The carbon monoxide is in normal range at 26ppm in the exhaust. But the excess air readings is at 120, this goes along with the failed smoke test and the heat exchanger not being fully closed up. The temperature rise is normal at 48*. Due to the age of the furnace and issues found, I recommend having my supervisor stop by to go over options on the system. The master bedroo
Performed furnace clean tune x2; started with the work shop furnace removed and cleaned the burners along the flame sensor, inspected heat exchanger and did find heavy amounts of rust, checked gas pressures, and performed a combustion test verifying no CO in the airstream. I then cycled on the main furnace, removed and cleaned the burners along with the flame sensor, cycled the system and checked gas pressures, and again verified no CO in the airstream. These systems are currently operating but due to age and condition of the work shop furnace I highly recommend having annual maintenance done to ensure safe operations. Job complete
