Thank you Gary for checking our furnace. Your work ethic, customer service demeanor and friendly personality made it a great experience. We loved the idea that you were honest about not needing to replace our filter this visit. And took time to answer our questions. Thanks so much!
Gary expressed genuine concern for our well being and safety with regards to our outdated heating system. Scheduled replacement of our system with a sense of urgency and worked to accommodate our availability.
Installed stair mats for him and made sure all the holes outside were caulked.

Fireplace. Customer stated that the fireplace operates normal for about 20 mins and then the fan drops out. The flame continues. The last time the fan dropped out, the fan dropped a few mins later. Fireplace is not used often. After checking the system out, the fan motor itself appears to the the issue. I believe that the motor is overheating and shutting down. This will cause the temp to rise and trip the themosensor. Office to quote replacement of fan motor. System was operating normal for over 15 mins with no issue at this time. Office to follow up. Job complete.
Performed a preferred customer furnace start up. Checked over the furnace installation. Cycled the furnace. Set the gas pressure and took a temperature rise. Performed a furnace combustion test. The furnace is running normally at this time.
Re vented hot water heater lowered the pipe. Electrical service vented bath vans yesterday.
Performed a preferred customer furnace cleaning. Cleaned the burners and the flame sensor. Checked the furnace heat exchanger. Wiped down the inside of the furnace. Checked the electrical. Furnace clean and tune. Cycled system. Checked heat exchanger, found some rusting and corrosion in all chambers. No visible cracks found with camera at this time. Checked, removed and cleaned burners and flame sensor. Both were very corroded and worn. Checked electrical connections and clamps. Cleared drain lines. Checked and adjusted gas pressures to maximize efficiency. Found bearings in blower motor are worn and noisy. Found indications of crack in transition assembly. Water damage found on both sides of transition assembly. Preformed combustion test and found normal levels in exhaust. No CO found in airstream. Average life expectancy for this unit is 14 years. This system is well over that age and is worn. This has led to higher utility costs and longer run time. Due to age, condition, and cost of repair, second opinion is recommended. Future failure is expected. Job complete. No charges pending results of second opinion.
Checked thermostat. Recorded serial number. Adjusted venting to increase pitch. Venting was pitched down the wrong way. Found humidifier not operating. After checking thermostat, found incorrect wiring to unit. Wired to main terminal and transformer. Cycled, operating normal at this time. Furnace start up. Cycled system. Checked incoming and outgoing gas pressures. Adjusted to maximize efficiency. Checked wiring. Temp rise normal. Preformed combustion test and found normal levels, system operating normal at this time. Job complete.
