Completed new AC installation. Mounted brackets to foundation and attached condenser to them. Installed evaporator coil in the plenum above furnace. Ran a new lineset between the two units and brazed it to them. Ran a new drain line for coil and tied it in with the furnace drain. Pressurized the lineset with nitrogen to 325psi and then evacuated to 521 microns. Released charge and did a complete start up procedure. Thank you for choosing Black-Haak heating. Performed level 2 AC clean and tune. Found capacitor and contactor to be showing signs of wear, and appear to be original to system. R22 was around 2 pounds low in system. Average life expectancy is 12 years. This unit is currently 20+ years old. Due to age, condition, and cost to repair, second opinion is recommended. Failure is expected.

The geo wasn’t cooling. Wyn said only the fan would run. W cycled the geo, the compressor wasn’t turning on. Found compressor was hot. Checked capacitor and found a wire came off of it. I secured the wire to the capacitor, cycled the geo, it’s cooling now.

I completed a level 2 preferred customer cleaning on the Tempstar furnace. I cleaned the burners and flame sensor. I checked the igniter. Exhaust readings look good. The humming noise is coming from the transformer, when it is powered it hums. Everything is working properly.
