Went through the system and found the slave thermostat was keeping the dampers open even when there wasn’t a call for cooling. This was causing the system to over cool the master bedroom and guest bedroom. Contacted EWC and went through the the troubleshooting procedures. Flipped the ds 1 and 2 switches in the ac to get communication where it should be and set the zone weights. Zone system is operating properly at this time. Air flow: customer is heating a lot of noise in the return duct in the hallway and bedroom near the furnace. Tested airflow and wasn’t getting anything upstairs and a little bit in the master bedroom but it seemed like everthing was going through the return in the hallway. Talked to chad and he needs to come down to see if he can damper it and he also wanted a picture of the register. Thanks Brad

Ac clean and tune. Checked indoor coil with refrigerant sniffer. Found some indications of possible leaks on that coil. Cycled system. Found rodent nest in condenser. Wires have been repaired in past visit. Found capacitor worn. Tested compressor and fan motor, both tested low with megohmeter. Used coil cleaner on condenser coil. Condenser coil damaged and full of mold. Hooked up gauges and checked pressures and temps. Indoor coil temp was 39. Subcooling was 9. Indoor split was 16. Due to age, condition, and cost to repair, second opinion is recommended. Future failure is expected. Office to follow up with payment and to see about scheduling a free option consultation, to prevent expected major expense due to critical failure. Job complete.
