These folks totally go out of their way to make sure you get the best products and customer service possible.Within 2 hours of our old furnace failure, Rick was at our home measuring and checking to make sure we replaced the dead furnace with the best possible match. Mark and Jason arrived on time in the morning to remove the old furnace and had our new furnace up and running in about 5 hours or so. Totally courteous and very professional. The fact that the recommended Daikin furnace has a 12 year Parts and 12 year labor warranty really sets a homeowners mind at ease. This old house is more comfortable than at any time in the 22 years we have lived here, with no cold areas like before. Can not say enough about these folks. From the initial call, to the installation, it was more professional than any contractor I have ever worked with!
Quick service, fast response
I’ve had furnace/fireplace service techs over the years but Dan is #1 out of all of the! Dan was thorough and gave me updates on each item.
Seemed very thorough, spent 90 min doing routine maintenance. Very quiet, shy demeanor; needs to smile more.
Dan is great, knowledgeable, and friendly. I feel like I have a good company to take care of me and my HVAC needs. Thanks Dan!
Second time using Black Haak and both times had great experience. Technician was knowledgeable, helpful and friendly.
Julian was extremely personable and professional. Did his job quickly and was very friendly and respectful. I enjoyed talking with him.
Came out to look at a humidifier. The unit looked like it was mounted with duct tape before it fell. There was a lot of mold built up on the interior. I was able to temporarily mount the humidifier back to the duct work for testing. I cranked the humidifier stat all the way but it wouldn’t start. Weather conditions may be the reason it wouldn’t work, however, it looks like it hasn’t ran in quite some time.
Came out to investigate a no heat. Board was reading a limit fault code again. Filter was clean. I had 24v coming from the furnace. I took the limit out and flicked it with no success of ignition. We either have another bad limit or a board issue. We will return with the parts as soon as we get them in.
Installed gas furnace new B vent ran and re vented hot water heater correct way.
Completed relocation of (2) Daikin air handlers in the attic. Reclaimed refrigerant and disconnected the existing air handlers from the condensers. Unhooked the ductwork and removed the air handlers. Removed all indoor air quality components. Using threaded rod and 1 5/8†strut we hung the air handlers and secondary drain pans from the roof trusses. Fabricated new duct work to reconnect the supply and returns back to the air handlers. Reconnected the electric, drains and linesets. Re-installed the Hepa filters and UV lights. Wrapped all duct work with R-10 foil back insulation wrap. Pressurized the linesets to 325 psi with nitrogen to test for leaks, then evacuated to 450 microns. Will still need to return to do a complete AC start up procedure. Thank you for choosing Black-Haak heating. Please take a moment to fill out our online survey.
Came out to investigate a CO leak. WPS said they found high CO levels by the furnace. I took apart the unit and found large amounts of soot and chipping. One cell was completely black. The heat exchanger is bad and due to this, I had to condemn the furnace. Photos are uploaded. We will need permission from blue frog before moving forward.
Performed the new furnace start up. The inducer motor sounds rough right now. We may want to keep an eye on it. No gas leaks detected. Gas and exhaust levels are normal. No CO detected in the air. Drain is clear. Venting and electrical components are properly installed. High limit passed the safety check. Heat rise was 54 degrees. Unit is heating properly at this time.
Furnace start up. Cycled system. Checked electrical system. Checked for gas leak, none found. Checked and adjusted gas pressures to maximize efficiency. Checked fans speed, ok. Checked temp rise, ok. Checked venting. Adjusted to maximize efficiency. Replaced filter. System operating normal at this time. Job complete.
Performed the level 2 furnace cleaning. We found the primary heat exchanger was starting to rust and chip. No cracks located at this time. After doing the combustion test, we noticed the excess air was a little high and indicates the secondary heat exchanger is starting to draft back. Venter motor bearings are also starting to sound worn. Due to the age, condition, and cost to repair, second opinion is recommended. Furnace and AC cleaning
Completed Gas Furnace replacement. Disconnected and removed old furnace and then set new one on blocks in its place. Reconnected the gas, electric, PVC vent pipes, and duct-work to new furnace. Installed a new WiFi Thermostat and connected it to the Furnace. Run tested the furnace, but will still need a technician start up. The Office will follow up to schedule a technician to return to do the Furnace efficiency startup, which is required for warranty purposes. Thank you for choosing Black-Haak Heating. Performed the level 2 furnace cleaning. Burners and flame sensor are clean. Heat exchanger looks good. Gas and exhaust levels are normal. No CO detected in the air. Drain is clear. Heat rise was 41 degrees. Unit is heating properly at this time.
I removed the failed pressure temperature gauge. I installed the new pressure temperature gauge. Cycled the boiler. It’s operating properly at this time.
Performed the level 2 furnace cleaning. Burners and flame sensor are clean. Heat exchanger looks good. Gas and exhaust levels are normal. No CO detected in the air. Heat rise was 47 degrees. Unit heating properly at this time.
No heat upon arrival; found inducer motor spinning but no ignition. Found that the pressure switch was bad. We’ll have to order part and quote repair with the office on Monday. Katie would like to have a clean and tune done the same time as the repair. Katie also mentioned she would like quotes on a new furnace considering the amount of times this system has needed repair. Job complete NO HEAT
Completed gas furnace replacement. Disconnected and removed old furnace. Set new furnace on blocks and reconnected the gas, electric, vent pipe and duct work. Installed a new T4 thermostat and connected it to the furnace. Run tested furnace but will still need a technician start up. Thank you for choosing Black-Haak heating. Please take a moment to fill out our online survey.
Furnace clean and tune. Cycled system. Checked heat exchanger, found some rusting and damage. Checked and cleaned burners and flame sensor. Burners are worn. Flame sensor is ok. Found igniter worn. Ventor motor is very worn and has major noise and vibration issues due to worn and damaged bearings. Checked levels of CO and XS air in exhaust. CO and XS air are elevated possibly due to blockage in secondary heat exchanger. No CO found in airstream. Average life of this unit is 14 years. This system is 26+ years old and worn. Even tho this unit is operating normal at this time, failure is expected. Job complete.
