install of furnace WELL done by tech's.

We had the furnace put in our home w/ air conditioner as an option after some remodeling is to be done. This entails moving the present A/C unit and replacing this unit. The contractor said they would be handleling this phase of the remodel also. We wish to allow the contractor do the A/C work that is in the bid. Thank you for your option on the A/C unit but we will go with what is stated. We still will use your service in the future.

Completed installation of a 1/2” gas line for the future gas stove. Connected the new Flashshield gas line to an existing tee in the main gas line of the house. Routed the Flashshield to the hole in the bottom of the wall behind stove, and terminated it into a recessed wall box designed for gas appliance hook ups. Used the leak detector to check for leaks and found none. Thank you for choosing Black-Haak Heating and Electric. Please take a moment to fill out our online survey.

Brad said he was smelling a rotten egg smell by the boiler. He shut the gas off to the boiler and water heater. I performed a gas leak seaman’s found the gas valve in the boiler has a gas leak. I shut he gas off for the boiler. The gaskets for the pump are leaking water. The vent damper motor is bad as well and the damper is in the manual open position. The boiler is about 25 years old and is pretty dirty. I recommend looking at replacing the boiler. The service manager will come out to quote new boilers. Service manager will collect any charges at that time.

Furnace not heating and it was out on code 2. This is a pressure switch didn’t close when the Ventor motor was running. Ventor motor was on, checked pressure tube and found it full of water. Inspected the drain trap and found it plugged. Cleaned out and reinstalled it and started the furnace up. Furnace started up with no issues. Highly reccomend getting yearly cleaning to keep this issue from happening again. Thanks Brad

Performed preferred customer furnace cleaning. Cleaned the burners and the flame sensor. Checked the heat exchanger. Wiped down the inside of the furnace. Checked the electrical. Cycled the furnace and performed a furnace combustion test. The furnace is running normally at this time. Performed preferred customer air conditioning cleaning. Checked the indoor coil for leaks. Did not find a leak at this time. Cleaned the condenser unit. Checked the electrical. Cycled the air conditioner and checked the refrigerant levels. Found that the air conditioner is running low on 410a refrigerant. The customer would like to wait until spring and then have an air conditioner cleaning to recheck the pressures. Office to call in the spring to schedule the cleaning.

Ac clean and tune. Cleared drain line and checked filter. Checked indoor filter with refrigerant sniffer. Found a few spots that indicated that there may be a leak. Cycled system. Checked and cleaned electrical compartment. Checked compressor and fan motor. Both tested lower. Capacitor is ok. Contactor is worn and rusted. Used coil cleaner on condenser coil. Hooked up gauges and tested pressures and temps. While checking pressures, fan was very noisy and was slowing down due to very heavy bearing wear. Unable to get accurate readings due to very high head pressures from lack of airflow. Looks as though system is low on charge and fan needs to be replaced along with several other parts. System is very worn. Average life of this unit is 14 years. This system is 30 years old and in very poor condition. System may cool for short period of time, but major failure is expected. Second opinion is recommended. Job complete.
