I call about my issue earlier this morning and was happy to know that a technician would be available that same day. The technician diagnosed the problem really quickly and fix it; he was here for maybe a hour.
I arrived to perform a diagnostic service call on an air conditioner. Upon my arrival, the system was frozen. I also noted that the furnace did not have an exhaust pipe, but customer said someone would be coming out to fix it and the gas was turned off. Will have to return once unit is thawed out to properly diagnose.
I arrived to perform a diagnostic on an air conditioner. Upon arrival, customer stated that the ac was not coming on. Upon inspection, I found ac not receiving 240v to outdoor unit. Checked disconnect, disconnect not getting 240v from breaker panel, breaker is not tripped. Breaker for ac seems bad, needs an electrician.

I arrived to perform a diagnostic service call. Upon arrival, I found that capacitor was bad. Reading 0 on both sides. Replaced capacitor for customer. I also found that all insulation was missing from suction line. I also had some spare insulation and re-wrapped suction line. System was cooling at departure.
I arrived to perform a diagnostic service call. Upon arrival, customer stated the ac was not working. Found contactor not being pulled in. Has 26v to outdoor unit. Found loose wire and bad contactor. Replaced. Everything working properly.
I arrived to perform a diagnostic service call. Upon arrival I found that thermostat was going back and forth between 74-73 degrees. It would drop to 73 then go back to 74 and repeat the process. I had thermostat set at 70. I was getting a 13 delta. Me and the customer could feel cold air coming out of the vents. But thermostat was stuck between 73-74. I found that capacitor is going bad. I recommended replacing capacitor. Capacitor- Fan-3.41/5- Herm-29.7/35- In/out-248.5- Compressor-4.26/13.5- Fan-.7/.77- Pressures and numbers were good. Only thing is that SH was a little high, but still in range. Customer had me change out capacitor.
