He is very knowledgeable and does a great job communicating. Great guy.
I'm so thankful for chrome & the last to service guys that came out. They always go Over & Beyond!!!
We were out of AC. Your technicians went above and beyond to make sure my family did not sleep another night without AC. Thank you.
I had pretty much given up on customer service until Brandon Shupak, from the Chrome air conditioning and heating was sent to my service call. Brandon surpassed my wildest dreams as far as outstanding customer service. He was dedicated conscientious, patient, diligent, empathetic, determined, and has the best work ethics I've have seen in a long time. For future service I would recommend chrome air conditioning and heating, to others and request Brandon specifically for future repairs. Chrome is lucky to have him.
We would highly recommend him for service calls.
Upon arrival found upstairs unit not cooling. Checked inside unit and found everything operational. But didn’t hear the outdoor unit running. Checked outdoor unit and found that the contactor wasn’t allowing voltage to pass through. Recommended replacing contactor, washing coil and adding a start assist to system. Homeowner approved repairs, replaced contactor, added start assist and washed coil. Checked pressures and pressures were good. System is now cooling properly at this time.
Upon arrival found upstairs unit not cooling. Checked inside unit and found everything operational check filter and it looked good. I did notice that the safety float switch was missing the float. Checked outdoor unit and found system almost completely flat on Freon R-22, system holds somewhere around 12-13lbs. Found outdoor coil dirty as well. Gave options and homeowner wanted to discuss with spouse.
Upon arrival found that the downstairs unit is dimming lights when condenser comes on. Turned system on and checked outdoor unit. Found that the start up amp draw was around 105-110. Installed a start assist and compressor start up amp draw came down to 63-78 amps. Customer wanted to hold off on installing start assist.
Performed maintenance on all 3 systems. Cleared drain lines, cleaned condensing coils, adjusted blower speed on downstairs system to medium high, and checked refrigerant charge on all systems. Adjusted charge on downstairs system (used 1lb of 410a). Downstairs system is also pulling high start amps on compressor. Recommend adding a hard start kit for compressor. Upstairs system is low on r22 and evaporator has the wrong piston in it. Recommend replacing equipment. Master bedroom unit is low on r22. Will email quotes on equipment for upstairs and Master bedroom units.
Replace uv bulb in air scrubber.
Thermostat was displaying faults with indoor and outdoor equipment. Found a bad uv bulb causing voltage drop and a dirty condensing cooling. Unwired uv from terminal block, cleaned condensing coil, and Reset equipment. Unit came up. Ran system through high stage cooling. Checked electrical components and refrigerant charge. System looked alittle low on 410a. Adjusted charge (used 1lb of 410a). Took temp reading on supply and return air. Customer wants to replace uv bulb/ballast. Quoted customer price for uv replacement. System is cooling at this time. Cleaned condensing coil on downstairs system
Upon arrival found downstairs system not cooling. Checked inside unit and found everything operational. Checked outside unit and found that the noise was coming from a humming contactor. Contactor will have to be replaced. Also found that the disconnect insert piece was missing. System will also need a new disconnect box. Homeowner wanted to hold off on repairs.
Checked amps and voltages in air handler, temp splits, call for cooling, made sure units clean, improperly sized air filters in unit and dirty upon arrival, changed with proper sized filters
I found faucets in upstairs bathrooms froze during winter storm, which caused them to leak water throughout portions of the upstairs as well as downstairs of home. Both faucets will need to be replaced. I also found kitchen sink supply lines froze during storm, I capped both lines so mitigation and demolition can be done.
I found water is dripping out of the faucet even when both the got and cold handles are turned off.
I found supply lines on top of water had froze, which caused the plastic washers to break and leak. Also found shut off valve had frozen at the same time and began to leak. I replaced these 3 items and tested. There are no further leaks at this time.
Pipe burst in garage ceiling. Repaired 1/2 copper water lines in 2 places.
