Completed maintenance on AC. Checked drain, split temp, filter, opened package system up and performed visual inspection. System appears to be fairly new and in good condition. System is not in pan and in customers office room. Recommended customer install wet switch to prevent possible future water damage. Installed wet switch. Cycled and tested, system working properly at this time.
Customer called about a squeaking noise. Arriving to the job we could find new squeaking noise occurring. M#60MGE4-11-241NP-1A s#1619K28609
Performed preventative maintenance for a magic-pak package unit model # 60mge4-11-241np-1a, serial #1619k28609. I powered the system down and removed the access panels. Removed and cleaned carbon off of the flame sensor. Cleaned out the burners and burner box. The system is located in a closet in the apartment. The return duct is not connected to the system. There is a flue for a gas fire place that blocks the return duct from being connected. The closet has been insulated so that when the door is closed it will pull air from the return duct (see photos). The homeowner has a washable filter that she will wash. The filter size is 12x24x1. I currently do not have this size however since the return is not connected I can place a larger filter in its spot until the washable filter is dry. Checked all electrical connections to ensure that they are secure and in good condition. I powered the system back up and called for heat.
