Came out for no AC call. Discovered bad capacitor and compressor not running, house was not meeting set temperature. Installed new hard start kit to condenser and tied into existing capacitor. After putting disconnect back in and called for AC. System started right up compressor is now operating. System is operating properly with a supply air temperature of 60°. That’s good for a 95° weather today. This unit has the right refrigerant charge. Lennox condenser- S#1916J25409 M#14ACXCXS042230818 Filter size- MERV 11 16x25x4

Came out today for a system not operating. Upon inspection I found that the was a piece of debris stuck in the vinyl tubing for the condensate pump. I was able to cut out the clogged section and reconnect the vinyl tubing. No charge call back.

Came out today for a condenser not operating. Upon inspection I found that the system was calling for ac but the condenser was not kicking on. I found that the shut down due to high pressure. Once the system stopped operating the homeowner replaced the old filter. I reset the high pressure switch and the system started right away. The condenser coils are clean and in good condition so it is my belief that the air filter was blocking the air flow and caused the system to trip the high pressure switch. I observed the system running for about 15 minutes and the system is operating properly at this time.

Came out to diagnose a water heater the customer has been have leaking issues. Upon arrival we discovered that the customer has an indirect water tank connected to a boiler system. The customer has been putting towels to dry up the water, leak is not severe at this point , the customer still has hot water but will be needing to replace tank in the near future. We are collecting a $175 diagnostic fee. Customer still has hot water at this time. See sold estimates for more details quote for tank will depend on price and availability.

Performed preventative maintenance for a Lennox system. Model #sl280uh090v36b-04, serial #5916j06504. The evaporator coil’s are clean and in good condition. Tested the drain pan, drain line and condensate pump with several bottles of water to ensure that there is no leaks or clogs. Replaced the air filter size 16x25x1. Checked all electrical components needed for air conditioning to ensure that they are secure and in good condition. I observed the system starting normally. The blower motor amp draw is at 1.6. The temperature split is at a 19. The condenser coils are clean and in good condition. The condenser amp draws are .68 for the fan and 4.9 for the compressor. The refrigerant pressures are 135/246. These are normal readings for 410-A refrigerant with an ambient temperature of 75°. The system is operating properly at this time. No charge MA.

Installed new Lennox OEM condenser fan motor for existing Lennox heat pump. Reused fan blade and installed new 35/5MFD dual capacitor. Tested unit for proper operation. Lennox M#14HPX-024-230-19, S#1915K21441. Homeowner had a new 20x20x1 air filter which was installed during the repair today. Contacted Joan McGinley (Landlord) after repair and collected balance of $550 over the phone.

Performed preventative maintenance for air conditioning system. Inspected all the electrical components. Replaced the customer supplied air filter (16x25x1). Confirmed proper high and low voltages. Inspected the drain piping into the French drain. Tested the temperature split between the supply and return. System is operating at a 20° Differential on an 80° day. Tested the amp draw for the blower, compressor and fan motor. All were operating within the manufacturer specs. System is operating properly at this time. Ann was hung up with work so the invoice might not be completed but I will collect payment over the phone wi

Performed preventative maintenance on Lennox heat pump system. Customer replaced MERV 20x20x4 air filter prior to us coming out. Tested evaporator coil pan and condensate line for proper drainage. Temperature split is at 20° with a supply air temperature of 50°. This unit has the correct refrigerant charge. Compressor-5.2 RLA Condenser fan motor-0.4 FLA . These readings are both within the amperage rating for this unit. System is operating properly at this time and is ready for the upcoming season. Came out today for a no ac call. Upon inspection I found that the 22 year old unicorn system would not operate when calling for ac. Upon inspection I found that the eztrap wet switch was stuck and cutting the power to the system. I replaced the wet switch and tested the system. The system started right up and is now operating properly. The system doesn’t have a drain pan and Chud is not responsible for and water damage that may occur due to lack of drain pan.

Found Lennox heat pump system completely void of refrigerant charge. There is a leak either on the indoor evaporator coil (air handler) or a leak on the outdoor condenser coil. The system is NOT under any manufacturer warranty and has had a long history of problems including compressor issues, refrigerant leaks, sealant added, drainage problems etc. Based on age and condition the ONLY option is for full system replacement. This is a multi-day job and will require dismantling the drop ceiling and will also require a jack/lift or crane to safely remove and remove the heat pump located on the roof. Chud will provide a replacement quote. See estimates for details. Approved estimate will require a 50% deposit prior to ordering any equipment. BILLOUT FOR DIAGNOSTIC AND LABOR RATE for today.

Performed preventative maintenance for air conditioning system. Customer replaced the air filter (16x25x1). Inspected all the electrical components. Confirmed proper high and low voltages. Inspected the drain and condensate pump. Drain pipe was clear and pump was working as it should. Tested the temperature split between the supply and return. System was operating at a 20° differential. Tested the amp draw for the compressor, blower and fan motor. All were operating within the manufacturer specs. Inspected the condenser and evaporator coils for any airflow restrictions. Found no issues with airflow. System is operating properly at this time.

Performed preventative maintenance on Lennox AC system. Replaced 16x25x1 air filter. Tested evaporator coil pan and condensate line for proper drainage. Temperature split was 0° and a low refrigerant charge was discovered. Quoted customer for 3 pounds of refrigerant and easy seal and die and performed the work. Charged 3 lbs. of R410-A and applied the easy seal and die to the unit. This system was rated for a subcool of 7. After charging 3 lbs of refrigerant the subcool was at 7 and the system was accurately charged. There is now a supply air temperature of 52° with a temperature split of 18°. Compressor- 5.6 RLA Condenser fan motor- 0.6 FLA. Both of these readings are within the amperage rating for this unit. System is now operating properly and ready for the summer. *** reach out to customer to schedule follow up leak investigation 4 weeks from now. Customer called for no air conditioning. Upon inspection I found the compressor not coming on but it was trying to start. Tested the 45+5 capacitor and was getting 43mfd which tells me it’s good. Tested the amp draw for the compressor and was getting 71A when rated to have locked rotor at 77A. Installed a hard start kit to try and get the compressor started. Due to the amount of low refrigerant last year it’s likely to have worn the compressor to where it needs extra help to start. Once hard start kit was installed the system started just fine. Was getting 5.7A with the kit. Rated load amps are 14.1A. 5.7A is a good reading for normal operation. Once started I checked the temperature split and was getting 19° differential. System operating pressures were at 126/335 with a subcooling of 8°. Replaced the customer supplied Merv 11 16x25x5 due to it being a year old. Checked drain and condensate pump for any issues. Drainage is working as it should. System is operating properly at this tim
