Came out today for a no ac call for a Lennox ac system. Model #Hs23-411-1p, serial #5193M13493. Upon arrival the homeowner stated that the outdoor unit will not turn on. I called for ac and observed the system starting normally. The indoor unit fired up right away. The condenser unit however would not turn on. I opened the access panel and noted that the contactor was not engaged. I followed the voltage to the low pressure switch. I reset the switch and called for ac again. The pressure switch would not reset. I checked the standing pressures and the high side pressure was .03 and the low side is at 63. The system utilizes R-22 refrigerant which has been phased out. At this time I recommend updating the system to one that utilizes 410-a refrigerant.
Model # RG250L6N Serial # YE49769843 Customer called about no hot water. The pilot was not lightning because the gas valve is stuck shut. Water heater is 4 month old and under warranty. Came out today to inspect a thermal zone ac system that is not cooling properly. Model #Tcfl-hm3621cc, serial #W231526540. Upon arrival the homeowner stated that the system just won’t keep up. I was able to see Paul’s notes and he added 2 lbs of 410-a and an ez seal stick on 5/22/22 and the homeowner hasn’t had any issues until recently. I called for ac at the thermostat and observed the system starting normally. The temperature split is at a 10° differential. I connected my gauges and noticed that the system is low on 410-a refrigerant. I presented the homeowner with a solution. I filled the system per manufacturer specs with 410-a refrigerant and added half a uv dye stick. Chud will return in approximately 4 weeks to perform a leak investigation.
