Customer does not want to do anything right now
Observed an ignition failure code today. Burners initially lit, however the flame rollout was so excessive that I recorded video and showed the business owner. The flame sensor had been rigged prior to our repair and further inspection found it was cracked. In good faith I did a thorough inspection of the unit and eventually it did fire up. I am having the business owner sign a waiver that we are not responsible for any hazards or damage that may occur from operating the unit. The rollout safety devices are working at this time, however the manifold is worn and older controls may not always function properly.
Came out today to replace a gas valve on a York rooftop package unit. I removed the old gas valve and installed a new one. I checked the gas line for leaks. I replaced the spark igniter and tested the system. The system started right up. Bill out $1.224.00. Hot water heater is a electric 6 gal Bradford white hot water heater. See photos for reference.
Customer called for no heat on York rooftop package unit. Upon inspection I found the gas valve getting stuck on lighting pilot as well as spark ignitor not putting enough spark out. Tried to see if dirt was stuck in pilot tubing found no dirt. Need to get pricing on parts to follow up with customer on repair. Once we have pricing we will call for approval to move forward once approved we will return to repair. Test system upon completion. System is not currently operating. Customer also had an electric water heater down. I reset the water heater and told them give it time to see if it heats. If not when we call for pricing on the rooftop unit let us know and we can price out a water heater replacement. This water heater is 30 gallon mini in the ceiling of the bathroom.
Performed commercial air duct cleaning and sanitation on 3 rooftop units. This includes air washing and sanitation of all vents and ductwork. All vents and ductwork are clear of dust and debris at this time. All units are functioning properly at this time. Recommend duct cleaning every 2-3 years. Thank you for your business!
