Performed preventative maintenance for a Trane AC system. Model #4TTX5060A1000BA, serial #10295W322F. Upon arrival the thermostat was set for heat. I powered down the thermostat, powered down the system and removed the access panels. The evaporator coils are clean and in good condition. Tested the drain pan, drain line and condensate pump with several bottles of water to ensure that there are no leaks or clogs. I replaced the 20x25x1 air filter. I checked all electrical connections to ensure that they are secure and in good condition. I powered down the humidifier for the season. I re attached the access panels and powered the system back up. I called for AC and observed the system starting normally. The condenser coils are dirty and in fair condition. The condenser amp draws are .76 for the fan and 8.9 for the compressor. The system has a 21° split. I presented the homeowner with several solutions to help improve the system in the home. The homeowner decided to go with the band aid op
