Sean was very polite and friendly. He attended to his work and explained the problem with my furnace. I felt I could trust in his recommendation.
Sean should be commended for his professionalism and overall customer service skills. He arrived on time, completed the service call in a timely manner and provided a complete overview of the service maintenance items that you completed.
I found liquid line solenoid valve inside the condensing unit shorted, causing unit to run without a call for cooling. I wired unit to bypass solenoid valve. Valve was only used for efficiency improvement. I found system approximately 30% low on Freon. I topped off partially with 1 pound of R-22 Freon for temporary cooling. Suction: 74(44). Suction line: 68. Expect Freon will leak back out. Recommend replacing air conditioner. Repair cost may apply to new equipment. Project manager is scheduled for before 4 o’clock tomorrow. Need to call customer to confirm a timeframe.
Cleaned and checked 3 air conditioners. Checked drains. Checked voltage and amperage draw of motors. Tested capacitors. Checked Freon levels. Cleaned condenser coils. Checked filters. Bedroom system: Compressor: 11.5A .Condenser fan: 1.45A . Blower: 6.1A .ambient: 76.liquid line: 85. suction line: 40 .metering device: Piston. Return air: 72.supply air: 52.5 .wet bulb:62 . Living room system: Compressor: 11.6A .Condenser fan: 1.2A . Blower: 6.1A,m.ambient: 78 .liquid line: 98.suction line: 39 .metering device: piston . Return air: 71 .supply air: 51.5 .wet bulb: 61 . Rear system: was reconnected earlier today. I found system 75 to 80% low on Freon. If Freon was pumped down properly when unit was disconnected (By others last year) there should be close to a full charge and the air-conditioner. System may have a Freon leak. System uses the older type of Freon that is being phased out. needs R22 Freon charge: $456. Freon leak search: $189. Freon leak repair:
AC maintenance! Replace filter and weak dual capacitor!
A/C start up on new Lennox install
Cleaned & checked gas furnace. Inspected heat exchanger & flue venting. cleaned burners & flame sensor. Checked voltage & amp draw of motors. Test capacitor. I replaced air cleaner media. I tested zone system and found 1 zone damper not closing for zone two.
Customer complaint: gas bills were higher than last year. I explained that the air conditioner is 50% more efficient, not the furnace. I fine tuned furnace using combustion analyzer. Stage one: manifold: 2.6 inches. Oxygen: 7.4%. CO: 42 ppm. Stack: 349. Supply air: 123. Return air: 69. Temperature rise: 54. Inducer: .08 A. Blower: 4.2 A. Stage two: timing: 12 minutes. manifold: 4.0 inches. Oxygen: 7.7%. CO: 29. Stack: 421. Supply air: 128. Return air: 69. Temperature rise: 59. Inducer: 0.22 A. Blower: 5.2 A.
Clean and check, customer complained of noise, found blower motor bad and split in eyelet in heat exchanger
