Exceptional repair/service

Sam was professional, courteous and efficient. He presented me a few different options for the list of repairs I had. No pressure, I decided on the most imperative jobs and he set to work. He was quite quick to complete the job. I also liked that he wore slip on covers for his shoes as well as putting cover cloths on the floor and he cleaned up very nicely when the task was complete. Sam showed me the work areas and preventative measures to take with the connections to keep them in good working order. I am impressed.

Client called about hot water tank is leaking. Tech went out found the humidifier needle valve above the tank is leaking. Water pressure in the home is 95 psi. Tech explained to the client this water pressure is far too high and can damage plumbing fixtures. Also the tank is 8 years old average life span 8-10 years. Tech made a few options client went with new valve and a pressure reducing valve. Tech turned off water and replace humidifier needle valve with new 1/4 turn ball valve and a braided steel supply line. Tech then installed new pressure reducing valve. Tested for leaks and set water pressure is 65-70 psi. Client is happy.

Arrived onsite to Steve’s home in airdrie to perform plumbing planned service Home is fairly new and in good operating condition I do have some concerns with water softener as the programming wasn’t completed properly at install I’ve re programmed and ran regen but was unable to get soft water Running a power clean and to follow up with client later this week to see if soft water is restored if not will need to provide permanent fix solutions

Today April 10 I came to Pete’s home in Airdrie because he’s looking to change his main floor tub into just a shower stall. Upon visual inspection this is exactly the case. Pete isn’t very mobile and needs better access to shower. Pete has been getting different quotes from different companies. After going over some options Pete will chat with his wife and call us if he wants to go ahead with work. As a sign of good faith I will credit the td fee if the premium option is agreed on. Today April 4 I came to Peter’s home in Airdrie to perform a plumbing plan service. I also brought six bags of water softener salt as requested. We recently put in a new tankless and water softener. Everything is running beautifully. I recalibrated the softener settings so Peter wouldn’t go through so much salt as it’s just him and his wife. After that I checked every fixture in the home. Everything is pretty much brand new and in perfect working order. Enclosed in the email is the 65 point plumbing inspection. Water pressure is perfect (68psi). Peter is very happy with the service I provided today.

Today I came to Tracy and Murrays Airdrie home because they are looking to replace the furnace and water heater to break a long, very costly, rental contract. Murray would like to remove the power vented tank and add a standard atmospheric tank because the fan on the current tank is too loud. I have looked at the property and the home requires a 6000 btu furnace. The only new area to vent the furnace aside from the roof is under the rear deck. Murray and Tracy will discuss the options and see about paying off the other companies locked contract.

Today Elden returned to Peter's home to redo a missed return vent Upon arrival operation of furnace was confirmed and then shutdown. Drop cloths were prepared for hyper vac and then connected to the return side of the furnace. Missed return vent was then cleaned thoroughly to the Clearview standard and return run was air raked to clear of all debris and dust. Finally the site was cleaned of all tools and supplies and left just as I found it.

Today Kareem and Elden arrived at Peter's home for a duct cleaning. Upon arrival we confirmed the operation of the furnace in good working order and surveyed the design of the ductwork in the home. Upon confirming operation of the furnace the system was shutdown for the duration of the cleaning. Every vent was covered to insure vacuum suction and the hyper vac was then connected to the supply side. Every supply vent was thoroughly cleaned, cleared of all debris and sanitized as per clearview standard. The supply run was then air raked and cleared of all debris and dust. Then the hyper vac was connected to the return side and every return vent cleared of all dust and debris. Return side was also air raked and cleared of all dust and debris. The blower motor, furnace and return cabinet were all carefully cleared of all debris then wiped down with sanitizer. A wipe test was performed to clearview standard and the system was reassembled then confirmed to be in good working con

I attended Peters Airdrie home to do plan service on his furnace. I found that the gas pressure was set very low, however, when I set to 3.5 the furnace would trip on high limit. The heat exchanger was badly discoloured from over heating and the blower motor was getting very hot. Peter decided to have the furnace replaced and ducts cleaned. Furnace booked for Tuesday and duct cleaning for Friday.

Today Jim was called out to Jarred’s copper crossing home to perform a planned service. This service included upfront pricing, plumbing inspection and a preventive maintenance tank flush. The house was built in 2014 with all original equipment and fixtures. Currently the house is without a water softener which is causing calcium. And lime buildup through out the home; this is also causing a single valve to seize; isolation valve for the tank. Braided hoses are through out the home which is great except for the few upstairs Lav sinks. Inducing motor on the power vented tank is making a loud squirrelling noises which indicated that the motor will seize and be inoperable. Overall the house is beautiful and is healthy. Wouldn’t hurt to improve on a home that is already healthy. 10/10 psi with the home is a healthy 70 psi.

I attended Norma’s home in airdrie to perform the plan service on her 2 yr old furnace. No issues furnace, all working well. However, her ducts are getting dirty, she doesn’t have a humidifier and her hot water tanks are 24 yrs old. She is going to talk to her son and will call us.

Today I was called by Dina to her home in the sunridge area of Airdrie, the call is because her heater is leaking and also ran out of hot water. During the evaluation we have discovered that the heater is leaking from the faulty gas valve. It is also missing thermal protection and has not had flush maintenance performed in a while. The water is currently off so I was unable to take a pressure reading. Due to the age of the tank which is now past life expectancy I have recommended to replace this unit instead of repairing it. I have offered Dina multiple options for repair or replacement. Dina would like to think over the financing options tonight especially deluxe option #4 and for this reason has decided to end the call. This was a free quote so there is no balance. Dina is very happy with the service provided tonight and would be even happier to leave myself with a 5 star review. Client will reach out to the office in the morning about the decision.

Tech came out to perform heating maintenance inspection. Tech tested the heating system: checked gas pressure, temperature, exhaust fan amperage test, blower motor amperage test, flame rectification sensor test, exhaust fan vacuum test and a combustion analysis. Furnace is in great working order.
