Alright

A little disappointed, we had a bathroom faucet that needed fixing and he was unable to. We asked him to tighten our kitchen sink and all he did was give us a price for a new one. We wanted our tankless descaled and he did that great.

Today I came to Sheran’s Coach Hill home because the furnace stopped working over night. Upon diagnostics of the 36 year old system I found it to be I’m poor condition. The pilot light was out, likely due to the high winds the last 2 days. I relit the light and the gas valve fired up. After a while the fan controller switched on but the fan did not start. Upon further investigation I found the blower motor is leaking oil and the motor starter has failed. The fan controller sticks when the fan is mean to shut off which is typical with this age system. The heat exchanger is heavily rusted however there are no current cracks but in my experience it is only a matter of time before a crack develops and there is the possibility for carbon monoxide to enter the home. The water heater is 25 years old and well past its life expectancy of 8-12 years. The water pressure in the home is 79 psi and there is no water pressure regulator or weather softener. Scheduled to return Friday April 19 2024 f

Today I came to johns home on 47 ave southwest Calgary. This call was to perform the annual plumbing inspection. Fixtures and piping appear to be in good condition and are functioning well. Dishwasher shutoff is seized but John is not worried about this today. Recommended to flush the 2013 water heater as discoloured water was observed while taking the pressure reading but John has declined. Water pressure is currently sitting at 65 psi. John is happy with the service provided today and has expressed that he is always happy with the quality work provided by ClearView as he is a long time member.

Today I came to Jackie and Bob’s Springbank Hill home to evaluate the mechanical system after the basement carbon monoxide alarms went off. Upon preliminary investigation of the boiler and 2 furnaces I found multiple issues. I have not done in depth diagnostics at this time and I believe they would show even more problems. The boilers system is working well as it was replaced by Clearview 3 years ago. The boiler drain valve is leaking fluid onto the floor. The boiler air vent is leaking fluid. The boiler exhaust baffle is leaking exhaust and must be replaced. The boiler venting is not seal. The 11 year old furnace has leaking exhaust, leaking inducing/exhaust motor and a leaking condensate pan. The 21 year old furnace has a failing inducing/exhaust motor and leaking condensate pan.

Today I came to Blakes Strathcona home because he is running out of hot water and he is looking at quotes for a new ac system. Upon inspection of the 1467 square foot home I have determined it will require a 2.5 ton ac system to properly cool. There is an equipment interface module that the ac can be controlled by but there is no room on the electrical panel and sub panel will be required. The home currency has 2, 40 gallon atmospheric water heaters. The primary tank is out and not running. The water pressure in the home is a staggering 100 psi which is incredibly damaging to anything using water in the home. There is no water softener. I added an additional $500 discount as per Kyle. Scheduled to return Thursday April 25 2024 for ac and water heater install. If the electrical sub panel is not installed in time, we will return for ac commissioning. 50% paid today with the remainder due at time of job completion. 25% restocking fee should the job be cancelled.

Today I came to Jim’s home in the bridlewood area of the city. This was for the annual plumbing inspection. Water pressure is currently at 45 psi. Fixtures and piping are currently in good condition. Humidifier is old but not used so not a concern today. System is missing water conditioner and expansion control. 23 year old water heater is the main concern, I have recommended to flush or replace this unit. Jim will wait before coming to a decision. Jim is happy with the service provided today and would be happy to leave myself with a 5 star google review.

Today I was called to the Marcos Atwood building, this call is because the mens washroom near the front office is not flushing fully and gurgles when it is being flushed. This is a separate branch than the one we worked on before so it is not a warranty call. Clients have decided to go ahead with the hand auger of the toilet - I have recommended the hydrojet as a more permanent solution to this problem. Due to the nature of the drain blockage there will be no warranty without performing a hydrojet flush and camera. Today I have cleared the blockage with the hand auger and flushed multiple times with no gurgling and a much stronger flushing power. This was demonstrated to the clients. Balance for this job has been paid in full. Ralph is very happy with the service provided today and would be even happier to leave myself with a 5 star google review.

Today I came to Tara and Geoff’s West Springs home because the second floor furnace stopped working. Upon diagnostics of the 11 year old, builder grade furnace I found it is in poor condition. The control board was getting power however nothing was running. Upon further diagnostics I found the board fuse had blown. This was caused by a failed ventilation fan relay. Once disconnected form the control board I was able to test the rest of the furnace. The inducing/exhaust motor has advanced bearing ware, is very loud,a dan vastly over amperage. This indicates impending failure. The gas valve anand safety switches are working well within manufacturers specifications. The blower motor is leaking oil which will cause in eventual failure. The control board was damaged by the blown fuse and continuously flashes all the error codes and intermittently shuts the furnace off. The condensate pan is leaking condensate into the furnace. The humidifier is working but leaking onto the floor. This is co

I attended Emily’s chestermere home to perform a heating plan service. The furnace is working very well. However, I noticed she doesn’t have any mold mitigation and the ducts are very dirty, Emily decided to have the ducts cleaned. We are returning Friday to perform a whole house duct cleaning.

Today April 17 I came to Vera’s home in Somerset to perform their yearly plumbing maintenance. The hot water tank is brand new and only a year old. Every fixture in the home is pristine and in perfect working order. The water softener is very old and will need to be replaced very soon. There are some issues with pressure fluctuating in the home when more than one fixture is used. This happened when we took out two tanks and installed one big tank. The old water softener could be restricting flow. I checked the pressure in the home and it’s a perfect 70 psi. This tells me the prv is in perfect working condition. I have emailed the plumbing inspection with the invoice today.
