Put together a rough estimate to take care of attic wiring. Eliminating all exposed knob and tube. Making code compliant existing junction boxes. Poor filtration- 1 inch plus a large hole on the side of indoor unit allowing unfiltered air to pass through. Evaporator coil has major oil stains. Evaporator coil freezing. Evaporator coil dirty. Blower motor has major oil issues. Blower wheel is very dirty. Electric heatstrips have low ohms. Heavy biological growth. DeltaT 9° Condenser coils washed. Low and high voltage wires unprotected. Disconnect box has no saftey plate. Compressor inrush amperage exceeds manufacturers specifications. Fan side if dual run capacitor failing. Refrigerant charge below manufacturers tolerance. Shared all pertinent information with homeowner in detail. Agreed to a CA appointment 4/19/25 10@ confirmed with Rob G. System is not functioning properly. Consider upgrade air filtration and a heatpump for optimal performance.
Upon arrival indoor was blowing but heatpump was not running. During evaluation found heatpump tripped on 04 (locked rotor) dual run cap was within manufacture tolerance but found compressor had failed. Replaced under P&L. Restarted system and left with system cooling

Upon arrival Customer stated system would not run in heating or cooling. During evaluation found that the Furnace was not receiving power. Found Furnace switch in off position, turned switch to on position and Furnace began to run properly. Stated her son had been up in the attic and must have accidentally turned the switch off. Left system in heat mode per customer request

Technician arrived to customers' home. Technician talk to homeowner and ask questions about home. Technician grabbed tools and started in attic unit. Technician changed filter and took electrical readings all in range. Technician inspected blower wheel and plenums all looking in good condition. Technician checked insulation and pan all in good condition. Technician continued on outside condenser unit. Technician took panels of unit off and cleaned it and waxed it after. Technician then took electrical readings of capacitor and contactor all in good condition and range. Technician then took refrigerant readings all in range aswell. Technician then talked to the homeowner about recommendations and she said that previous techs had talked to her about it but she did not want to do it just yet, mentioned that she had ducts clean and that her husband does most of the electrical and plumbing work in their home.
Arrived onsite customer had a hose bibb on side of home not working properly. Went ahead and replaced hose Bibb tested after repairs were made everything working properly.
Upon arrival tech found that the system is constantly runing and the fan motor is stopping every 20 seconds tech found that the fan is going out intermittently

I sat with homeowner (very sharp lady) and shared all photo evidences if my visit. We talked about every aspect if system efficiency. The compressor inrush amperage exceeds manufacturers specifications and when sharing the concern with homeowner, understanding that the manufacturers warranty is Expired, it was agreed that it may be best to book an appointment with a CA to discuss outdoor unit requirement. CA appointment set for 4/2/25 @12-3p. CA - please utilize military veteran benifits when discussing. Insulation would be ideal to bury the existing ducting. Duct cleaning would be ideal as well. Estimate made was for leak detection, insulation and a soft start kit.
