Alex D - TRUE PARTS FAILURE. Found wire going to herm terminal burnt apart due to loose connection at capacitor fixed connection with a new spade connector unit is now up and running
On this job I did a hard restart and checked freon levels everything checks out. I'm coming back to install disconnect surge.
Pon arrival customer stated the indoor air handler with Ron and the outdoor unit would make a loud noise and eventually just shut off during evaluation found that the compressor was tripped on thermal overload cold compressor down and fan motor check capacitor found no issues started the system up and found that the fan motor would try and run but would never actually run talked with customer about replacing the fan motor and also talked about replacement of system due to the age customer decided to have a comfort visor come out tomorrow 5:00 to 7:00 confirm by the office
Stu- washed Condenser Changed Filter Delta in cooling was 20 degrees Recommend pan strip to prevent blockages Upgrade membership opportunity but turned down for now Thank you for choosing Comfort Experts, have a great day

Two system tune up performed today. Downstairs system is an Amana heat pump with air handler installed in 2019. Upstairs system is a Goodman heat pump with air handler installed in 2021. All electrical connections are tight with no corrosion. Both systems are clean. Filters changed. All electrical connections were tightened. Refrigerant levels are in range. All amp draws are within spec. Both outdoor units were washed and waxed. Customer did not have filter for upstairs unit. Unit requires an Aprilaire 113 filter.
Ran closet auger to remove soft stoppage tested for flush drain clear job complete
For the job, I worked on a super tune-up on this heat pump system. I went through all the mechanical and electrical parts of the system and check for maximum efficiency. While going through the system, I noticed the hard start kit was not functioning, that was replaced under warranty. Adding on, the system had biological growth, customers had also mentioned that they were suffering from allergies, I went on and offered the IAQ 300 UVC/UV Germicidal/ Oxidizing System. Customers approved and purchase the IAQ system, I notify the customers that they will get a call to schedule the work to be done. Customers applied for financing. Thank you for choosing Comfort experts, have a great day!
Upon arrival customer stated that the system would not do anything during evaluation found that the thermostat was set to cool with the fan on while the air handler did nothing along with the heat pump found that the transformer had failed receiving 240 volts but was not stepping it down in 24 replace transformer under warranty reset system as system was running notice the fuse would pop isolated the short to the heat pump found that the solenoid wires to the compressor had melted to the compressor along with the plugs for the for the windings and the solenoid compressor got extremely hot melted wires causing it to pop the fuse unable to test compressor or get it to run condenser is DOA need to order new Amana two-stage condenser
Double system CTU- Washed both Condensers and Changed filters for both systems New system is working quite well with a good delta T about 20 degrees Older system had a 15 degree delta, same as last time but no leak found Recommended Refrigerant to help lubricate compressor and reduce wear and tear and upgrade efficiency and lower run time After adding 2 pounds, I had a 20 delta T Systems are ready for Summer time Thank You for choosing Comfort Experts, have a great day
On this job I looked at both heat and cooling. The system does test in tolerance for functionality. It does how ever have issues with start up amps. Recommend adding a soft start to tackle this issue. Other then this the system is cleaned and ready for work
Completed Stu all electrical components good amp draws good freon good Temp split good drains clean clear condenser clean filter good system operating correctly
Customer does not want to replace a system at the moment does not have a job once Justin to send them a quote on replacing the compressor. Customer stated he is going to have multiple companies give him quotes for compressor only and is looking to get at least one to two years more out of the current system that he has after doing so mention that he does not want to spend eight or $9000 for a compressor
For this job I performed a super tune-up. I noted the blower capacitor and the fan capacitor or both out of tolerance. Low tolerance on capacitors cause extra stress on the motors they are running with them and can cause premature failure on the motors themselves. I noted a severely burnt primary electrical control unit, recommended replacing due to burnt weldings that can get stuck and fail overtime. I noted a faulty thermal expansion valve starving the compressor for refrigerant. Refrigerant levels were within normal limits. I recommended replacing the thermal expansion valve where if it is not done it will cause extra strain on the compressor and can cause failure, it will also cause low efficiency when running the unit. I recommended adding insulation the home does have little to no insulation I gave a minimum price but homeowner is not interested in having insulation added. I recommended ceiling the ducts to the supply plenum and the plenum to the furnace due to air leakage caught
