Improved Air Through Superior Service

Mike came to perform semi-annual service on our units. He noticed that dust was getting past the filter and recommended an improved filter compartment and filter. Now our air and ducts are cleaner.

Disappointed

We were scheduled on 4/24 from 2-7. They called at 7:20 and said they could not make it. Rescheduled 1 week later. "First in the morning" meant they arrived about 10:30. Tried to "upsale" us on 2 things (costing about $2,000 total). Said system was fine but "recommended a couple of things." We left the home for 5-6 hours. When we returned the AC was running but a message on the thermostat said there was a problem. Bottom line - the technicians did not turn on the outside unit when they completed their work. Thus, all we were getting was the fan blowing for 5-6 hours. This is a pretty bad review but it clearly defines our experience. We have been a customer for 5 years! We expect better.

Daniel was Excellent.

I did not stand behind hi, and look over his shoulder. As far as Daniel's performance goes, he seemed to be very knowledgable, professional, likable, and answered all questions. What I do not like is how the company is changing their warranty policy, now charging deductables which they have never charged me on my lifetime warranty. Times must be tough for the company, being how they do not stand by their committment to long time customers. Past techs told me" never give up this warranty", everything is covered. The company no longer offers this warranty.

Tech Cody arrived to customer's home, I head up to the attic and installed the new inducer motor and verified operation. I then cleared the drain line and poured vinegar and two gallons of water to make sure the clog was gone, drain flowed properly.

System had no power going to it when I arrived. Customer had advised me that the system tripped the main panel breaker this morning when he turned it on. Customer flipped the main panel breaker but not service disconnect I reset the service breaker power returned but the unit was still not working. After looking up the manual and performing troubleshooting I determined that the DC inverter board was inoperable. After explaining the situation to the customer he requested to speak with someone who could give him an alternative or options. He spoke with Ryan about his frustration with the system only working for 3 years. After his conversation we all agreed that an alternative to his mini split would serve him best and he would like to speak with someone who can offer him options and pricing. Arrived for 3 system eval Customer wanted units to be charge up with refrigerant Two systems were 410a and one was r22 Relayed that I was only able to do two of the system and the r22 needed to be order to charge Customer wanted to hold off for now on the r22 and see what the home inspector said before going ahead and charging the r22 System working before I left

Today I repaired 2 feild welds on a suction line connecting to the Evap coil. I pumped down made repair and ran vaccum on the system for 30 min and held decay test. System back online and ready for cooling.

Tested all components all measured within ratings and specs. Refrigerant level is normal. Washed and cleaned condenser. Changed filter. Recommend duct cleaning lvl1 and upgrading the filter to aprilaire 20x20x5

Tech Cody arrived to customer's home, I met the homeowner and they guided me inside to the thermostat and indoor unit. The indoor coil and blower were clean, the heat strips were working properly and the filter was not in need of changing. The temperature split was 22 degrees. Outside the electrical equipment were operating normally. I cleaned out the outdoor unit was washed it with a hose, after I waxed the unit as well.

For this super tune-up I inspected the air handler and condenser. The air handler and evaporator coil was extremely dirty and rusty. When I gauged up to the condenser my saturation temp was below freezing indicating there was either an Air Flow restriction or low refrigerant. I like search the evaporator coil where I was getting positive alerts on my detector indicating a leak was present near the loops of the coil. Inform the customer of what I found and gave him a couple recommendations such as replacing the coil, a level 7 coil clean, or replacing the entire unit. Additionally the capacitor which was out of tolerance, which I informed the customer it could fail at any time being that it was out of tolerance. The customer stated he would like to talk to his wife about the options and wanted to see prices before discussing with a comfort advisor.
