Jake Scifres came out 2/10/26 to do an electrical inspection and everything checked out great but while he was here we talked about a way to hook up my generator to my home and he was very knowledgeable about what needed to be done and to put a 220 plug in my work shop. For this job I spoke over the phone with customer about connecting to soft start. Homeowner is not at home at the moment so I offered to call later at his convenience. He declined and said he would call if he can’t figure out the instructions I gave.
For this job I did an evaluation. When I arrived indoor was blowing air and outdoor was not running. Contactor had 120 on both legs but not 240 together, diagnosed bad contactor. Replaced contactor and system was running without issue for over 20 minutes. Recommend start kit as compressor is over amping on startup. Homeowner had to leave early before we could further discuss. Going to house to do rec work which involved repairing and putting boxes on all the open splices in the Attic which there were a good amount of open splices but put boxes on every single one of them with covers and there are no open splices in the Attic anymore and customer is super happy but informed customer that if inspector has anything to say or says anything about what we did and there is still something there did for her to call us and I will be going back out there to fix what I missed if there was something

For this job, I worked on a super tune-up on this gas furnace system. I went through all the mechanical and electrical parts of the system and checked for maximum efficiency. When I was doing my inspections, on the outside condenser the dual run capacitor was out of tolerance, I recommended the replacement of the capacitor and explained the warranty on it, customer approved and capacitor was replaced. In addition, systems compressor was amping high, a Micro air soft start or a hard start were recommended, customer made that decision to add a soft start, this was installed and results were shown to customer. Upon arrival customer stated air conditioner would not come on but the blower would run during evaluation found the heat pump was tripped on high pressure cut off reset system checked pressures and cooling superheat and subcool were within range check system and Heating pressure shot up immediately checked air flow and static pressure was within manufacturer's range but noticed that the furnace was running as the same time as the heat pump causing the heat pump to go out on high head pressure check thermostat programming and found that the thermostat was set up to be a single fuel heat pump change setting to dual fuel heat pump so the furnace would only come on when needed check pressures and heating after changing thermostat settings found no other issues at this time left system on and in cool
