Mike was very professional handling the entire process to deal with our heating concern. Also, Mike gave us really good options and suggested what might be the best way to address our concern longterm. Also, Mike was able to identify a separate issue that he's not directly responsible for. Mike notice a plumbing issue that has haunted us for 2 years. He recognized the problem and shared it with me. Upon arrival of customer stated unit in barn would not heat would only blow cold air during evaluation found mouse on heat sequencers causing heat sequences to Short and keep the heat strips from coming on also found two not be getting proper voltage it was unable to find breaker recommended Comfort advisor visit to talk about replacement along with electrician to figure out electrical issue and also gave pricing on fixing heat sequencers or replacing the whole heat kit customer stated they don't know how long they'll be living in this house decided to order new heat kit tech strongly recommended Comfort advisor and electrician customer denied. Informed customer that new heat kit would be arriving in a week plus
Upon arrival customer stated they had another company come out on the 22nd said that the system was completely out of refrigerant that company added five pounds of refrigerant and within a couple days customer notice system freezing up again and not working properly during evaluation hooked up gauges found refrigerant levels to be slightly low when system is running the suction line pressure drops below 30 and system goes out on low pressure cut off performed leak search on indoor evaporator coil could not find a leak perform leak search on condenser coil could not found a leak but did find a leak on the vapor line right at the brick of the home along with lots of oil from the refrigerant leaking talked with customer about replacing line set and adding line set cover along with adding refrigerant customer agreed to replace line set only charged for line set replacement today as the outdoor data tag is completely faded unable to find out how much system holds will charge for refrigerant
This is a quality control. Found system hitting high limit on dat sensor due to bypass being constantly open and found faulty dat sensor that would read random numbers and 0, replaced dat sensor, adjusted shut off temp on zone control and adjusted bypass
Came out for an evaluation possible recall found the system locked out for retries reset the board got the system running turned it on and turned it back off several times with no issue finally tripped the high limit switch at this time I removed a screw and inserted a probe to monitor the temperature to verify the high limit this never breached the manufacturer's specifications therefore I am deeming the high limit switch faulty and we will be replacing it under warranty at no charge to the customer this is a part that is not in local stock and we will be ordering it and the parts manager will be reaching out to the homeowner as soon as possible with a lead time currently the system is running and heating the home during my diagnostic I discovered the filter we sold the homeowner a few days ago is improperly sized we need to replace this at no cost to the customer the proper filter that we need to acquire is a 410 April air filter the one that we installed previously is a 210 April ai

Came to house for breaker tripping and had plumber tech out here before me and was messing with water heater because it was causing breaker to trip and it was working when he was here but once he left it started tripping and got here and breaker was not tripped but it was tied into the load side of a GFCI and the GFCI was bad so talk to customer about it and wanted to replace the GFCI to get that working again and also get her water heater working and not on the load side of the GFCI
