Performed Tune up on 2019 Carrier system. Checked all components of the Airhandler and found no issues with the functionalities of the Airhandler. Checked all components of the Heatpump and found two issues. Could not force Heatpump into defrost mode so not 100% confirmed that the system will properly go into defrost if needed, also found dual run cap to be just outside of the manufacture tolerance. Talked with customer about issues and recommendations, customer does not want to do anything at this time.
For this job, I worked on a evaluation of a heat pump system not heating. As I arrived, customers thermostat was calling for cool and the system was heating. I informed the customer about the issue, and customer approved for work to be done. System was tested on cooling and heating and thermostat was programmed correctly. For this job, I arrived for a tune-up however, it turned into an evaluation when the system was not cooling. System was tested and the result was a bad compressor. Different solutions were offered to the customer and customer was not able to make a decision today. Customer accepted to get a phone call by technician to make a decision on replacing the whole unit or getting a new compressor- January 16 on a window from 11-1. I have found that the problem itself is the breaker it is a 20 amp GFCI Eaton ch he would like to order the breaker himself and attempt to put it in I advised caution and if he needs anything to please give us a call he was also having questions about his energy usage and wattage on the bill being very high my recommendation is to either install a monitoring system to see where this power is going or take note of the day's events and look at your meter and write down how much power is being used over the course of a month
STU completed. Found leaks on both supply and return plenum. Filter that needs to be replaced. Areas of no insulation in attic. Appliances and drains venting in attic space. No secondary drain line. Incomplete fuel line abandoned. Exposed splices located in attic. Found incorrect capacitor used on outdoor system causing damage to outdoor fan. Bearings are failing due to loss of lubricant from overheating. Exposed low voltage splice on outdoor unit. Non protected low voltage line. Water heater venting into attic directly above air handler . Recommend electrical inspection
For this job, I worked on a super tune-up on this heat pump system. I went through all the mechanical and electrical parts of the system and checked for maximum efficiency. Both cooling and heating sides of the system were tested. Adding on, in the outside unit the capacitor was out of tolerance, customer was informed and he approved for a replacement. Alex d 12/26/25 Found outdoor unit tripped due to high head pressure adjusted refrigerant charge unit is now functional
Upon arrival customer stated that the system would not cool, indoor would only blow warm air. During evaluation found that the system was out on high head pressure lockout. Found indoor filter in need of changing, the Heatpump was heavily compacted to the point where the coils were not visible. Replaced filter and washed condenser coils and ran system check, found no other issues at this time and left with system in cool

I have made my estimate for the panel change out which includes changing out the panel itself putting in a surge protector and a outside disconnect this is a single day job
Came out for a complimentary Plumbing diagnostic homeowner is having issues with the garbage disposal it is completely locked up I tried breaking it loose and rinsed out the debris inside I got a couple of turns but it refused to spend under the motors power discussed options with the homeowner both turn key and customer provided options unfortunately our prices were out of budget and she is likely to have Home Depot take care of the replacement thank you for choosing Comfort Experts!
