11/23/24 TS- waterheater gas 40gal is leaking internally at the bottom. Quote to replace waterheater. Customer declined work at this time
Arrive for HTU Furnace Replaced last year Coil and Condenser still same Furnace components are fine Removed a plate that was rubbing against the pressure switch tube AC system is g getting low on refrigerant Not interested in replacement right but may have us clean ducts and install UV system
For this super tune-up I inspected the air handler and condenser, all equipment was measuring within manufacturer specs and running well. I recommend it to the customer a duct cleaning as well as an IAQ 200 for whole home air purification and lastly a hard start kit for the compressor amp draws.
For this evaluation I showed up to the customer's home and she stated the system had stopped running, the thermostat was blank and there was no power coming to the unit. When I went outside and check the breaker there was 120 coming out. The high voltage line went from the unit, into the attic and was tied into a GFCI circuit. That GFCI circuit has shorted which was not allowing 120V to go to the furnace. The 20 amp fuse disconnect for the furnace was blown, however I do not believe the high voltage was connected there. This is not up to code, and the installers who put in the unit did it wrong and the system is not in its own separate breker. The customer had an electrician friend come over and he fixed the GFCI outlet and when he did the system and thermostat came on. During the course of me going in the attic to look at the wiring for the high voltage I found that there were three different high voltage lines all tied together and the power source was coming from a plug in the bat
Showed up to check on a possible 45 homeowner was stating that there was a cover left off and wires exposed turns out it was just the compressor cover that was already melting apart I meant to throw it away last time I was here but in the process of trying to make the customer happy again and setting up the comfort advisor I let it slip my mind so we are not charging her for this return visit but there is no issue to remedy once I explained everything to them we simply threw the cover away
Came out for an evaluation system down found a multitude of issues including a restriction in the evaporator coil the TXV failing the compressor and reversing valve going out there was a bag capacitor that I replaced in order to diagnose the rest of these issues there is also signs of acid in the lines when I removed my gauges if not worked up an estimate for any of the other repairs the homeowner has decided to sit with a comfort advisor to discuss their replacement options I spoke with Ryan and he advised me to discuss with Rob about applying the price of the capacitor to the price of a new unit if she does go with full replacement The appointment for the comfort advisor has been set for Tuesday between 4:00 and 6:00 p.m.

She did show me quite a few things she had going on most of which required plug replacements but I did at least make the GFCI in her kitchen safe as it was very burnt up
Customer water heater is in bad condition. Alot of leak signs and calcium built up on tank and elements. Has water in pan.
