Old delta faucet leaked and wouldn’t turn off completely so Comfort Matters plumber Jake K installed the new faucet which was brass and chrome( very good part) and it looks great and works very good!
Jake Wolfe spent many hours investigating the problem with the AC unit and fixed it with additional parts charged to Comfort Matters due to the issues found! Jake did a super job!
Nathan took time to answer all of our questions.
Thank you for the outstanding service.
Very helpful in explaining the cooling process
Cody is a top notch HVAC repairman, a real gentleman and top-notch technician. We woke up one morning and heard water running. Comfort Matters has been providing maintenance on our furnace and AC for years. We called them right away while we turned off the water in the utility room and surveyed the damage. Cody arrived promptly and found the problem plus a solution. We'll be replacing the humidifier soon. Thank you!
This company and its people are so amazing. They are on top of everything. So many thanks for always being there :)
Great work 👍
We have had several years of experience with Comfort Matters and we have always had great service from the folks in the office to all the technicians that have been at our home. John Reiter was inspecting our Air Conditioner yesterday. He found a couple of things that needed to be checked into. He explained what he found and our options to handle them. Dealing with John was great.
On time, quality work!
System had blown low voltage fuse on arrival. As wires chewed up outside. Repaired wires. Fuse still blowing. On further evaluation, humidifer and thermostat wires were flipped around, causing direct shirt in system. Red wires humidifer and thermostat wires and all fired normally. No further issues at this time, however ac replacement is recommended due to its age.
Jake will be coming out Monday to assess plumbing in home. Basement is still flooded and water heater will not re light. Most likely when flooding occurred, components were damaged.
Customer explained thermostats and system would intermittently go out. They would flip breaker and power would reset. When I ran diagnostics, found that breaker was not sending power to furnace or zone panel. When I further evaluated, breaker had failed and it caused switch for furnace to fail. Replaced breaker and switch today and all is now operating normal at this time. Still recommend having an electrician out to evaluate panel to ensure breaker was not failed from another issue.
Ac not operating on arrival. Customer explained breaker had tripped when he tried to plug in disconnect. Fuse was blown when I arrived. Replaced fuse and another blew. Further diagnostics revealed compressor failure, Chris will be out tommorow morning to price out new unit. Compressor replacement is not recommended due to cost of repair.
Arrive and ac unit was operating normal. Checked all electrical at unit as well as indoor airflow and refrigerant charge. All is looking ok. Informed customer to look and see if ac is in cooling delay on thermostat. If “ cool on “ is flashing, unit will no run. If it is solid, outdoor unit should be running. Possible intermittent issues if problem persists.
Breaker tripped upon arrival. Checked all high voltage wiring connections before cycling power. Tested resistance to ground on each leg of compressor. Was over 15 ohms on each leg to ground. Internal components are failing. Just a matter of time until unit trips breaker again. System is cooling at this time. Unsure of how long it will last though. Both motor starters are burnt as well. System is at the end of its life. Replacement is recommended. Jacob will come out next week Thursday at 8am for a estimate.
All systems not operational on arrival. Burnt plastic smell present. Found transformer was melted along with control board. Reason for parts failing was sever damage to low voltage wires at ac from mice, repaired wires and replaced failed components. System operating at this time. System is in very poor condition and replacement is recommended.
AC precision tune up. Clean and tune up AC; cleaned condenser coil, checked all outdoor electrical components, tested indoor air flow, checked refrigerant levels, and tested overall AC operation. Found contactor not sucking in found out that a bad board was the cause. Replaced furnace board and tested fan on condenser still did not come on. Replaced fan motor and fan blade and tested unit everything seems to be working at this time.
Ac not operation on arrival. Found wiring to ac to be completely chewed in half. Do not recommend any repairs to this unit. Worked with management to price new unit and new ac was sold on site. Monday afternoon, install crew will be out to install new air conditioner. Collected response fee tonight. That was taken off price given to customer at tonight’s visit.
AC precision tune up. Clean and tune up AC; cleaned condenser coil, checked all outdoor electrical components, tested indoor air flow, and tested overall AC operation. Although all components are operating and testing as and where they should the main level thermostat never seems to be satisfied which could be do to sizing issue with air conditioner. Chris our comfort advisor will reach out to you to address concerns.
AC precision tune up. Clean and tune up AC; cleaned condenser coil, checked all outdoor electrical components, tested indoor air flow, checked refrigerant levels, and tested overall AC operation. Installed a vent screen on venting. Would recommend start assist and acrenew to extend equipment life. Replacement is recommended.
AC precision tune up. Clean and tune up AC; cleaned condenser coil, checked all outdoor electrical components, tested indoor air flow, checked refrigerant levels, and tested overall AC operation. Motor starter was looking pretty burnt up and pitted. Replaced motor starter and tested operation. System is operating as it should.
AC precision tune up. Clean and tune up AC; cleaned condenser coil, checked all outdoor electrical components, tested indoor air flow, checked refrigerant levels, and tested overall AC operation. Found five mice in AC electrical cabinet. Removed all mice and nesting material and repaired chewed wire. Everything seems to be working at this time.
All systems upon arrival were freezing over and not providing any cool air to flow into the building. I then found that all the filters were two years old, I started by replacing all of the filters. After the filters were replaced the systems started to run properly. I then found that rtu 2 was sill icing up because the blower motor was not operating. This is due to the manufacture installing the incorrect fuse sizes on the fan motor. Ordered new fuses and installed. I tested operating upon completion and as of now everything is up and working just fine.
System not working upon arrival. Fan motor extremely hot. Spins freely , but was not running. Diagnosed a failed motor booster. Swapped it out, no furthur issues. Checked all outdoor electrical components, tested indoor air flow, checked refrigerant levels, and tested overall AC operation. System replacement is recommended. Did provided a replacement estimate.
