Install Bypass Humidifier with Auto Control. Terms: Paid in full on day of installation. Water heater in separate room than furnace. Homeowner gave permission to cut hole in finished ceiling to see if I can get a water line to furnace. After cutting into the ceiling, I was unable to find a way to get a water line over to the mechanical room without a lot more sheetrock being take down
Arrived and outdoor unit was running. Customer explained unit was not running. All components were testing ok as far as I could see. System does have energy saver switch connected. Possible that energy company was cycling ac units over last few hot days. Ac was low on charge. Charged with R22 and installed leak preventative measures. These are a bandaid fix and replacement of the ac is more recommended. Ho,e advisor coming to home Wednesday July 27 at 9am for replacement options.
AC precision tune up. Clean and tune up AC; cleaned condenser coil, checked all outdoor electrical components, tested indoor air flow, checked refrigerant levels, and tested overall AC operation. Recommended a drain pan treatment, start assist kit and electronic air cleaner. Customer declined recommendations at this time. Will follow up in August.
All systems not operational on arrival. Burnt plastic smell present. Found transformer was melted along with control board. Reason for parts failing was sever damage to low voltage wires at ac from mice, repaired wires and replaced failed components. System operating at this time. System is in very poor condition and replacement is recommended.
Furnace precision tune up; clean and tune up furnace; clean burners, test ignition components, adjust gas level, test safety circuit, check indoor motors, checked all electrical components, tested indoor air flow, checked heating temperatures, and tested overall furnace operation. Replaced thermostat with a new one. Set thermostat to 75 at permanent hold. Walked customer through on how to operate it. Furnace is performing correctly and burning correct amount of fuel. Gas prices have increased by roughly 30% in the last few months. Not much can be done about reducing gas bill unfortunately. Overall furnace looks great and is performing correctly.
Furnace precision tune up. Pulled and cleaned burners. Inspected heat exchanger for any visual defects, did not find any at this time. Tested ignition assembly components, including flame safety, for proper tolerance ranges. Cleaned out condensate trap. Checked all remaining electrical inside of the unit, measured motor amp draws for correct operating range. Inspected blower wheel for dirt and debris. Checked airflow for proper air movement. Measured combustion and gas pressure for safe levels. Ensured temperatures were within manufacture desired performance. System is heating and operating with no issues at this time.
Thermostat blank upon arrival. Had error code on furnace, E5. In-line fuse was blown. Replaced it with a new one. Didn’t find anything burnt or damaged wires. Looked over furnace, didn’t find anything wrong with it. Furnace is back up and heating. Pressure drop across filter is higher than what is allowed, we will send a new media filter to home. Also signed customer back up on sunshine club.
