Heat pump is low on refrigerant and may be damaged. Customer has asked for pricing to abandon it and remove it and to rewire the thermostat to ignore the heat pump entirely. Arrived onsite. Isolated power to outdoor unit. Removed 240 volt whip to outdoor unit. Shut disconnect door and zip tied the lock slot. Recovered refrigerant into outdoor unit. Cut line set and removed it. Left 6 inch stub of Lineset at the coil, brazed the ends of the stubs shut. Rewired airhandler. Rewired thermostat. Confirmed operation of the airhandler. 100 degree supply air to the home. 65 degree return air. Outdoor temp is roughly 40 degrees. Thank you for choosing CPI Plumbing and Heating Inc.
