Arrived onsite cottage 210 did not have any heat. Provided pricing for a late fee and to run a diagnostic. Office approved the pricing, discovered that the blower motor was not operating. The hot water coil was warm no air was being blown across it. Tested the capacitor, it’s rated for 5 mfd +/- 5% and it was not within that rating. Presented pricing to Michelle to replace capacitor. She approved so I performed the work. After replacing the capacitor the blower motor kicked on providing the cottage with heat. Checked amp draw on the blower it was pulling 3.5 amps and is rated for 2.7 maximum amps. Blower motor is over pulling on amps and needs to be replaced. Will provide pricing for replacement of the blower motor tomorrow. Cottage currently has heat. But the high amp draw on the blower may have caused the capacitor to fail prematurely. Thank you for choosing CPI Plumbing and Heating Inc.
