Checked customer complaint about a leaking water heater. The customer had a 20 year old 40 gallon water heater that was leaking from the bottom. Presented customer pricing to replace the existing water heater and stand with a new one. After pricing was approved I drained the existing water heater. Performed the removal of the existing water heater and stand. After the existing water heater was removed I performed the installation of the new water heater. The new water heater was installed with new earthquake straps, water supplies and a new gas flex. After the water heater was installed I turned on the water and bled the air from the tank. After the water heater was full I turned on the gas and tested for leaks with the customer. There were no water or gas leaks when last checked. I set the water heater temperature to 120 degrees as per customer’s request. The customer was happy with their new water heater.
