Arrived at the customer’s home. Spoke to the homeowner about how he is getting warm water going into his fridge, causing the ice to take a long time to freeze into cubes. After analyzing his current recirculation system I noticed that the grundfos manifold tee for his recirculation system was installed under the kitchen sink when it should have been installed at the furthest fixture from the hot water heater, which would be under the pedestal sink in his bathroom. I explained this to the homeowner. He explained that he wasn’t told that installing the manifold tee under the sink in his bathroom was an option at the time of installation. He also told me that he wasn’t offered a real hot water recirculation system at the time he was presented estimates. I provided him with an estimate to install a real hot water recirculation system on to his current system. I also provided him with an estimate to install an under-sink reverse osmosis system to filter the water coming to his kitchen sink.
