Too expensive

$922 for kitchen faucet replacement. Way too expensive for single faucet install. Part was $150. Total for the job was $922. Lowe’s and Home Depot would of done the same faucet install for $100 labor.

Arrived at customers home. I spoke with the homeowner about a problem that his toilet is having. The water level in the tank keeps dropping, causing the tank to to fill up over and over. I tried to re-create the problem but was unable to see it happen myself. I spoke over the phone with my management. They told me that we can order a new flush assembly, and then attempt to replace the old one with it. I provided the homeowner with an estimate to do that as well as a few other estimates for new toilet replacements. The homeowner would like some time to consider the options I provided. I ensured him that I would send all of the estimates over to his email. *side note* may need a hammer and chisel to remove mortar holding toilet down. Thank you for choosing CPI Plumbing and Heating!

Customer called about wanting his sewer inspected. They are having to auger the drain about every 3 weeks, especially when it rains. Storm is tied into sewer. Drain coming from adjacent restaurant runs underneath building c where there is a clean out installed. Provided options to perform camera work, customer agreed to the “quick camera” pricing. Used the camera in the clean out, found that pipe and fittings have settled at a connection point, causing waste to rest inside the drain around 11’. This is located on the other side of the wall in another business. Nobody available in the business to inspect area on that side. Used the camera out to the city sewer connection, no signs of any blockage or issues beyond the one at 11’. Emailed estimate to pull a permit, cut carpet and concrete, excavate and repair as necessary. Estimate excludes concrete pour and carpet repair. Also, if there is anything installed in the area of excavation it will be additional cost to remove/reinstall. Restau

Arrived at the customer’s home. I spoke with the homeowner about a leak that appeared under her kitchen sink. I provided her with an estimate to do a water leak search diagnostic. She signed off on the diagnostic, so I began searching for the root cause of the leak. After coming to a conclusion that the leak was coming from the internals of the faucet, I provided her with options for both replacement of the whole faucet and for just rebuilding the faucet. The homeowner said she would like to see the faucets that I had in the back of my truck. I showed her each faucet, and she saw one she liked. She signed off on the work so I began by shutting off the water under the sink. Next I removed the old faucet. After that I installed the new faucet. I then turned water back on under the sink, and thoroughly checked for leaks. I found no more leaks under the kitchen sink. Thank you for choosing CPI Plumbing and Heating!

Customer currently has a Sillcock valve style hydrant that is not firmly supported to siding due to the siding being galvanized tin that had corroded away. CPI will attempt to made a more solid backing for the valve but no warranty or guarantee is available to condition of siding. Arrived onsite to customer have a continuous drip from sillcock valve. Offered customer pricing for frost free hosebib as well as pricing for replacement of sillcock valve. Customer was unhappy with pricing but agreed to sillcock replacement.Provided and installed sillcock valve and tested installation. Provided and installed white caulking in gaps on siding instead of placing a piece of wood back in place of an existing hole in the siding. When checking for leaks heard water dripping from another place in crawl space up inside the rodent barrier. Informed customer of this and since she was unhappy with the pricing I would happily do a leak search free of charge to attempt to find additional leaks in rod
