Too expensive

$922 for kitchen faucet replacement. Way too expensive for single faucet install. Part was $150. Total for the job was $922. Lowe’s and Home Depot would of done the same faucet install for $100 labor.

Arrived onsite as per request of removing a furnace and water heater, that are located in a garage where a fire had taken place, originally the plan was to remove and reinstall both pieces of equipment. Pure dry approved pricing for this work. Began removing equipment. Customer arrived and wanted to replace both pieces of equipment. Created options for furnace replacement and a price for the water heater replacement. Completed today’s work, shut off an capped both hot and cold water lines for the water heater, and the gas lines for the furnace. Shut off electrical to furnace and capped off bare wires using wire nuts and electrical tape. Spoke to Zach who confirmed enough ducting was removed to work in the area. Arrived onsite to customer having issue with furnace not blowing air. Presented customer pricing with diagnostic with and without membership. Gave customer pricing for replacement units as well due to age and condition of furnace. Customer has a 13 year old Nordyne furnace that had only been serviced one since 2014. Customer accepted diagnostic with membership. Began by giving furnace a call for heat. System ran through sequence of operation but blower never kicked on. System tripped on safety circuit. Removed call for heat and turned power off to the unit. Gave fan a call to run. Fan did not kick on. Went to check amp draw on fan blower circuit and blower kicked on followed by arcing in moles plug. Found that when molex plug from blower cabinet to main cabinet was moved to certain positions blower would kick on and would arc out inside molex plug. Removed power from unit. And inspected molex plug. nuetral wire was found to be loose and I was able to removed neutral wire from molex p

No I was already open and exposed from my first visit so we move straight into cutting into the waist and waterlines creating new stuff outs for a future sink in the downstairs left the waistline with a trap adapter already on it. Cut into the hot and cold copper waterlines going to a clothes washer ran pecks pipe to copper stub out with quarter turn stop valves. We turn the water back on very slowly pressurizing and checking for leaks.

Arrvied onsite per customer complaint of a leak coming from the newly installed water heater. Found leak to be coming from a 3/4” Sweat Male Adapter. Began by shutting power off and draining the tank down slightly. Removed section of copper and the leaking 3/4” male adapter. Provided and installed a new section of 3/4” copper and a new 3/4” male adapter. Restored water to tank insuring everything was leak free. Bled air thought the hot and cold inside the building. Restored power to tank once all air in the system was bled. Both elements were pulling just over 16A. Double checked all the angle stops and toilets insuring they were all leak free and functioning as designed. Showed Cassie the newly installed piping and fittings. Verified there were no leaks present upon leaving. Cassie and I discussed some potential future work. Insured Cassie was happy with the service upon leaving. Thank you for choosing CPI Plumbing and Heating Inc.
