Customer had informed us that his heat pump had still been tripping the breaker after the breaker was replaced. Tested the windings on both the outdoor fan motor and the compressor, we found that the resistance on the outdoor fan motors windings were correct, and the windings on the compressor were not what they should have been, which means the compressor is bad. We went ahead and contacted AMS tech support and they began the process for getting a new compressor under warranty. Today we went ahead and recovered all of the refrigerant in the system, once the compressor comes in we will come out and swap it out under warranty.
