I am currently on vacation in Florida and when checking my digital thermostat it read 43 degrees. It was set for 55. I called my daughter and had her go to the house to verify this and she advised me that the hearer, which is less than two years old, was not running. I called the service number and got a tech on the ine and he went to the house within an hour and found the problem. This was on a Sunday, so I was pleased with the response. Now I await the part that wasn't in stock to be installed.

Created a proposal for system replacement with Trane heat pump and air handler options.
Quality assurance for 75,000 BTU propane furnace; downflow Explained to homeowner how to buy and replace (2) 18x20x1 filters. Replace every (3) months. When I arrived PSC fan speed taps were HEAT: BLUE MED LOW; COOL: RED LOW. Used manufacturers airflow chart and static pressure to determine that HEAT and COOL should both be set to YELLOW: MED HI. Measured temperature rise. (75-125=45°F) Measured temperature split in cooling mode while using charging jacket on AC (72-52 =20°) Inspected all aspects of install ensuring that quality standards are set. Combustion and draft tests: Pass Put manufacturer’s literature in service record. Quality assurance passes. Always check fan speeds and manufacturers airflow chart for the equipment you are working with including AC speeds even if you are replacing only.

Customer has horizon coming out right behind me but I couldn’t get them off of one of his good friends is the plumbing manager in New Jersey for Verizon so he wants to then out. His boss also used to be a carrier engineer and has offered to get him the direct replacement for him to find someone to install it. He is going away for three weeks tomorrow. His wife will be home, but she said she’s fine with space heaters for now..
Found 80,000 BTU propane furnace in basement locked out on open rollout switch. Noticed that plastic sight glass was partially melted. Checked for any other open limit switches then tested system operations. Flame is bright orange and fluttering. Severe flame impingement on heat exchanger in front of second burner from left. Flame shape visibly changes when indoor fan kicks on. Inside of PVC exhaust pitch black. Furnace failed combustion test. CO levels in excess of 1000 pp. I explained everything to homeowner. The Heat exchanger and burners need to be replaced. The 3/16” hex plug on gas valve to measure outlet pressure is stripped. I could not remove it to test outlet gas pressure. Gas valve will also need to be replaced. Homeowner was not the homeowner when furnace was installed. We will provide estimate to replace heat exchanger and burners. Recommended replacing furnace. Homeowner wants to schedule consult for furnace upgrade tomorrow. Will be available anytime after 1PM. AC s
Arrived at customers home to perform quality assurance inspection. Inspected and tested all electrical mechanical and safety components. Performed combustion analysis on furnace exhaust. Inspected all low-voltage and high voltage wiring. I’ll wiring is neat and secured properly. Verified proper pitch and flow of condensate drain. Configuration and cool cloud is all set up properly. Outdoor unit and disconnect are level. Disconnect and Lineset penetrations are sealed with clear, silicone caulk. System is operating within specifications at this time.
Reviewed job with customer. Checked over all wiring and accessories to ensure everything was wired correctly. Found spade connector bare at outdoor unit connected to high pressure switch, taped connection. Taped around connections to added high pressure switch. Removed and replaced 40/5 capacitor and installed SPP6 start kit on unit. Tested operation of heat pump and measured refrigerant charge and compared with chart. Unit was running to specifications. It started raining so I needed to button up outdoor unit before I could test defrost cycle. If problem persists, recommend testing defrost operation and installing manual reset high pressure switch to determine if unit is going off on high pressure.
Performed precision a/c tune up on amana a/c system. Replaced 16x25x1 air filter. Checked all electrical conections and components. Flushed out condensate drain with water. Recommend installing an ecm surge protector for blower motor. Checked temperature split at indoor unit. Checked refrigerant pressures and temperatures at indoor and outdoor units. A/c system is working fine at time of inspection.

AC Tune up 5 Ton Trane AC system: Filter good. Checked drain and pump. Measured temperature split and static pressure. Checked wiring, controls, electric motors and components. Both coils are in good condition. Checked refrigerant pressures and diagnostics. Exhaust leaking at coupling. Homeowner agreed to replace leaking exhaust piping. Removed leaking fittings and repiped exhaust. Homeowner renewed plan membership. AC system operating well at the time of this maintenance.
