Arrived to find the AC not running, turned on the thermostat and the blower came on but the outdoor wasn’t running. Opened the system and found a mouse nest inside, went ahead and cleared the nest out and found it had chewed the fan wire from the defrost board, also found DS1 on and ds2 flashing which is code for open low pressure switch. Checked low pressure switch to make sure it had not gone bad, it was still working correctly and was open because the system had No refrigerant in it. Since customer was not who bought the unit it defaults back to a 5yr warranty on a system from 2015 it is no longer covered. We could go ahead and do a leak search with trace refrigerant and nitrogen to find where the leak is but due to not being under warranty anymore it doesn’t make sense to pay that rate and then fix a leak.
Performed cooling maintenance, checked media filter. Cleaned condensate trap and drain. Checked voltage, amperage and electrical connections, measured capacitor values. Started heat pump, checked refrigerant charge. Checked operation and temperature drop across coil.
Installed new plug to convert heat pump from communicated to regular Legacy, wired heat pump to prestige thermostat/EIM board, two stage heat pump, wired second stage wire to furnace, set up cool cloud added non communicated heat pump two stage, check operation of system ok, added thermostat plate to cover old anchors, check all settings on furnace ok performed quality assurance at the same visit, furnace installation looks ok.
Arrived to do heating maintenance, went ahead and checked burners, flame sensor, igniter, gas pressure, all electrical connections. Checked amp draw of blower and inducer. Did a combustion analysis. Checked heat exchanger and found cracks on primary and cracks on collector box on the secondary heat exchanger. Recommended replacement or repair. Turned off gas and power switch to unit.
Found humidifier not sitting correctly inside humidifier causing water leak. Also humidifier pad in very bad condition. Serviced humidifier and touroghly cleaned out tray. ( lot of mineral deposits) and cleaned up water on the floor. Tested humidifier for proper operation. Also recommended to homeowner to install a reme uv air scrubber for better indoor air quality.

Second opinion on system repairs, customer has 100000 btu trane two stage furnace with 4 ton trane 2 stage heat pump, found unit running upon arrival, check supply air and return delta 18F, check outdoor unit found two wires terminals going to low stage compressor in bad shape, also open 5 mfd second stage compressor capacitor, quoted to repair electrical terminals and replacement of capacitor for 2 stage compressor customer approved repairs, check operation of first and second stage from communicated trane thermostat and fist and second stage came on with no issues, check refrigerant pressures 320/140 18 delta, cycle unit ok

Disconnect Power and remove wiring and failed control board. Install new OEM Control Board for Furnace. Complete all wiring connections. Remove Ignitor Assembly and Wiring Harness. Install new 120V Ignitor Assembly and Wiring Harness. Program Control Board as necessary. Restore power to system and test operation of Furnace. 1/28/20. Installed new control board and igniter. Performed combustion test and checked temperature rise. Furnace is working fine at time of service.
No heat, found blower not running, ecm motor, test ecm ok, check board and board is not sending 24 volts to motor, we would have to get pricing and have to call customer with proposal
Checked complaint about water on the floor around the air handler, cleared condensate drain, cleaned condensate pump. Started air conditioner, checked refrigerant charge, found under charged. Topped off refrigerant charge, balanced by sub cooling. Checked operation and temperature drop across coil. Signed up for cooling only maintenance plan please start in spring 2020
Performed quality assurance inspection of systems. Need to cut new trim and go back and repair trim and install new hatch.
