Determined to get it right!

Alex is awesome. Last week he figured out that our Nexia thermostat was defective. He managed to program it to keep the upstairs cool until he returned. He just finished coordinating with Trane and has installed a new one for us. There was no charge for either of his two trips to our house...just another reason to recommend Dobbs to family and friends. Great job Alex!

Electrical repair was completed, tested system Tested system in Cool Mode ( system uses two compressors ) both outdoor condenser fans are faulted. Fan #1 has open windings and will not energize, fan #2 has shorted windings. Refrigerant circuit #2 has a leak in the refrigerant circuit, refrigerant circuit #1 looked adequately charged but due to fans not working there is no way to fully know. Refrigerant circuits use a shared condensor and evaporator fin pack so if the refrigerant leak is discovered in the evaporator or condensor then both refrigerant circuits will have to have the refrigerant removed, the fin pack replaced and then both circuits vacuumed and recharged with refrigerant Tested system in Heat Mode; functions as designed Disconnect AC thermostat wire at unit control board so system can still heat

DCM1 complete; Heat ( with an AC check ); (1) F16251 replaced. System is functional. Components are operational. Refrigerant pressures and temperatures are appropriate for indoor and outdoor conditions. Heat checklist attached Multiple ducting and electrical issues identified. System is a 5 ton indoor unit with a supplemental heat kit that requires a minimum circuit ampacity of 56A, current wiring is not rated for the electrical load which is why the wires going to the disconnect are starting to discolor and overheat, photo attached. System is running 8 gauge wire on a 50 amp breaker. Should be 6 gauge wire on a 60 amp breaker. Condensate drains directly onto floor of crawlspace with no p-trap, photo attached Multiple locations on supply ducting that have holes, have come loose or insulation has fallen away, photos attached Supplemental heat kit is installed backwards, photo attached
