R22 unit is pulling LRA for compressor. LRA is 89 and it is pulling 135 amps. Unit needs replaced
Removed old equipment and installed new Rheem 3 ton heat pump and air handler. Installed new return plenum with 16x20x1 filter, new emergency drain pan, new pan safety switch, new coil safety switch, new thermostat and new composite pad for outdoor unit. Reconnected high voltage, low voltage, drain line, supply plenum, and all return ducts. Tested system operations, set proper refrigerant charge. Talked with Keith on adding refrigerant to old upstairs unit. While trying to turn the unit on the compressor would not start on old upstairs unit. Per Keith he said to send a tech out on a courtesy call to see what the issue may be.
Arrived to No Cool Identified multiple points of concern Outdoor unit is extremely dirty, contactor is showing signs of excessive heat and low voltage wires are frayed. Indoor unit shutoff switch is failing, will only work on some parts of the switch. Indoor blower is extremely dirty. No filter in system. System will cool but outdoor power has to be cycled through breaker System is operating and cooling, homeowner request comfort specialist to quote to replace
Upon arrival no Ac, found no high voltage coming in at contactor, breaker was in the off position, turned on system started up as intended, checked operation everything is operating properly at this time
