Repaired a Pentair MasterTemp 400 pool heater on this warm, fall day. The pool heater was no longer igniting. Diagnosed issue as a faulty flame sensor. Cleaned existing sensor with fine grit sandpaper but ultimately replaced it with a new OEM part. Also cleaned burner assembly and verified proper gas pressure. Tested heater operation and confirmed it was maintaining set temperature.
