We had no heat today. Fortunately , James came out by noon and was able to quickly diagnose and fix the issue . James gave a full explanation of the exact issue. We Thank James and ECI for the prompt work.

Price could not be beat however I anticipated a credit within 3 to 5 days witch was expressed when called to get information before purchasing. It's been 2 weeks and I have not received my credit for overpayment.

I had a total system failure of my HVAC unit and called out a local company that we have used and been mostly satisfied with for couple years. They noted that it was a blower and the system was at the end of life. They then put on the full court press about a new costly system and had to get pricing from the owner (OK no problem there). They proceeded to leave and go out to their truck to take the call. So my spidey-sense was alerted. Long story short it didn't go well (super high pressure and high pricing) so I decided to seek out other quotes. I contacted ECI and made an appointment for a estimate for a new install. A tech shows up and says he would like to look at my system. I explained the problem and that I did not have money to pay another service fee. He said that this is standard operating procedure; to look at the system and make sure a new one is needed and it's not a low cost fix. (So, now I am a bit impressed). He goes over the inside unit and the outside unit while I am there and explains each step and meter reading BEFORE he applies the meter. We find not only is the indoor blower bad (knew that) but the outdoor unit had one foot in the grave as well. Therefore, replacing the blower would only be a temporary fix but, we could still get a couple more season out of the AC. We decide to go ahead with a replacement because of the poor condition and age of the overall unit. ECI's estimate and included services were best overall from 3 different companies. Fast forward to day of install. They show up 15 min early and begin set up. I see them out front but they don't actually come to the door till the appointment time. So they actually begin working ON TIME! It was so nice to see them pre-gaming out front early and ready to go at first knock. The install went most of the day with me periodically checking in to see if anyone needed anything. About halfway through the day, I pop my head in the attic to check progress and I am greeted with an amazing site. Not only have they installed the new unit but they have cleaned up a lot of the congestion of hoses that were there from the former install. All have been secured to rafters or moved to prevent a trip hazard. They also have re-routed the new pipes and drain hoses out of the way for easier attic access (YAY! I can get my Christmas tree out easier now!!). Again all properly secured where ever available. I joked that my attic looked like a work of art compared to what was left after the last install 14 years ago. Moreover they properly cleaned their entire work-space and may even have cleaned more then they dirtied! HAHA! I know that many people with system failures do not have the time that I did to get estimates. That is why I am here to tell you my story. My compliments to ECI for being one of the best customer-centric companies I have had the pleasure of using. I cannot recommend them enough. Installers Matt, Frank, Steve and Manager Jeremy are the most upfront and honest people in the game hands down.
