I arrived to perform a diagnostic service call on an air conditioner. This is one is the one that’s causing the water damage. Found a couple registers with no insulation at all around them and the insulation on the flex ducts coming off of main trunk line are starting to fall apart which is making them sweat and cause the water damage. Client will add new insulation himself. Flushed drain line. Dual cap-34.6/5 rated 35/5 OK. Refrigerant levels:70/241 32SH. Condenser needs washed due to it being clogged but there is no water source anywhere outside so I’m unable to wash them. System appears to be low but coil will first need to be cleaned to confirm readings. Options if system is low after condenser is washed. Fill. Easy seal. Leak search. Replace. Customer will let me know.
